Brb bomb shelter.
Good thing I live in Canada, they won't bomb us, we house 50% of their population.
Iran: I've had enough of your disingenuous assertions
Iran: I've had enough of your disingenuous assertions
I'm kind of surprised no one said that yet.
I don't know if this is a trustable source or not, it seems to be, with 1.6m followers and what not, but apparently Iran is now a ‘nuclear state’, President Ahmadinejad told hundreds of thousands of cheering people at Revolution Day rally.

That needs a source.
So Iran has nukes?
Not like they would be reliable, would have more luck using catapults to deliver the warheads then the shishkebab missiles.
Ok, I think the 'big' announcement was just that Iran has produced its first batch of 20% enriched uranium:
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told the vast crowd of government supporters in the square that Iran had produced its first batch of higher-grade atomic fuel, a development sure to add to Western concern about its nuclear ambitions.
...
"By God's grace ... it was reported that the first consignment of 20 percent enriched uranium was produced and was put at the disposal of the scientists," Ahmadinejad said. "In the near future we will treble its production."
The president said Iran has "the capability to enrich uranium to much higher levels" at its Natanz enrichment plant.
Iran had previously purified the fuel to just 3.5 percent, the level required for a nuclear power plant.
Western experts say the jump to 20 percent is a major technical leap toward enriching uranium to the 90 percent-plus that would be needed for a nuclear bomb.
The West accuses Iran of covertly trying to build nuclear bombs. Iran, the world's fifth-largest crude oil exporter, says its nuclear facilities are part of a peaceful energy program and has said it would retaliate for any attack on them.
Israel sees Iran's nuclear program as a threat to its existence and has not ruled out military action if diplomacy fails to resolve the dispute over uranium enrichment.
Ahmadinejad said on Wednesday that if Israel embarked on military action in the region, then the Jewish state "must be resisted with full force to put an end to... once and for all."
The Islamic Republic does not recognize Israel, which it refers to as the Zionist regime.

Anyone stop to consider, maybe by a punch, they mean successfully creating nuclear energy? And not in the form of a weapon?
Why does FP always consider the worst? Did you're parents get a divorce?
A punch is an offensive act.
Also nuclear power plants isn't something that would stun the world powers.

That twitter linked this.
Government and protesters clashing again.
Are we dead yet?

A bigger threat than a missile-borne traditional nuke would be a dirty nuke transported into a city via truck. The explosive force may not be as destructive, but the potential radiation fallout of a few well placed nuclear devices could very well render an area the size of Israel incapable of supporting life.
That's Iran's big punch? Seriously? They need to get out more then because that's like bragging to your co-workers how great The Brady Bunch is because you just got cable TV and saw it for the first time
Iran are successful trolls.
I expected violence and death not domestic censoring.
Cool I woke up this morning to exactly what I thought... A crazy Iranian making bullshit statements and threats... man we need to step on this guys neck.
Oh look, Iran is a nuclear nation.
