Lets go make enemies! yey!
i cant believe you guys
Disgusting, and as anyone that's seen me post in the news section, I'm a fairly big burger eating flag waving American, I hope they get what they deserve if they're found guilty, people like this are a disgrace to everyone that's served with them, before them or after them.
There are atrocities on both sides of every war, don't lump everyone in with people like this.
i dont know man, i find it hard to believe that all 12 of them were in on it. the 2 privates will probably fall under a court marshall or afghan laws (dont really know how it works there) but the whole 12 of them in on killing civs? i doubt it.
That kind of sucks, my uncle has a Walther P38 he got off a dead German during Market Garden.
I don't see how that's bad unless you were using their fingers as necklaces or something.
It's a shame these people get into the military. It's the people who are to blame, not the entire military.
I'll say this again.
10/1,477,896 active personnel =/= widespread problem.
10 that we know of
Some people don't understand the punishment for disobeying orders in the army. Ever think that perhaps the US army doesn't like some of what it's doing?
The devil dogs and the leather hounds might think they're killing the right people before they make a mistake, when they realize this mistake(THEY WERE STILL FOLLOWING ORDERS THEY HAD TO CARRY OUT. LIFE IN THE MILITARY IS NOT LIKE CALL OF DUTY WHERE ITS FUCK THE SYSTEM I DO WHAT I WANT, I'm a B.A.), they probably feel awful about it, but that doesn't stop news corps from jumping all over it and circle jerking the fuck out of it.

There must be like 500,000 sick fucks in the military that NOBODY knows about! :tinfoil:
10 that we know of
Right, let's just assume that everyone in the military is a sick fuck who actively seeks out the murder of innocent civilians, because fuck America.
Don't let the actions of a few sick individuals tarnish the military as a whole. It's not a difficult concept to grasp. :colbert:

He actually looks more hesitant, as in, he didn't want to be doing that.
All soldiers must die because they are hired killers.
good luck doing that
theyll probably kill you first
Ever heard of the Stanford Prison Experiment? Everyone has a natural 'evil' about them, especially when they're given a position of power. Soldiers of any nation are given guns, the training to use the guns, and the mentality to kill other people. With that much power, you can expect them to do things that the average citizen wouldn't do; Besides shoot the enemy. The same principle applies to other things in our lives, such as governments, Activition, dominatrix, torturing people, etc.
Uh no. There have and will continue to be many soldiers who will do their job to a T without intentionally doing fucked up shit or committing atrocities.
In the case of America, you're talking about 90,000 deployed troops. 90,000. I guarantee if we took 90,000 people off the street we'd find quite a few personality disorders amongst them.
I should also like to point out that using the Stanford Prison experiment as "evidence" that people in positions of perceived power inevitably abuse that power is flat our wrong, especially considering just how flawed the SP experiment was.
The British massacred Zulus with machineguns. I really do not see the point in trying to prove that these people, who have obviously committed despicable acts and are being punished for it, are in any way representative of the US Army as a whole.
The worst of it all isn't done by your military, but your leaders and your shadow government, the illuminati and other Earthly devils.
Guys, it's war. War fucks people up.
See how many people from vietnam war came out fucked up.

Oh shit no, not the illuminati
i would rather have the illumnati run the country rather than a bunch of retarded redneck bible thumpers

They're the same thing, they're really criminal masterminds who put on a thick front of stupidity
It's all a conspiracy man

Except that's not too far from the truth, generally the ones with power in those organisations don't believe in the values, or if they do, they violate them when it's in their interests.

What are the veteran post-return medical services like in the US?
it's bad
but this doesn't represent all of the united states army, but in before everyone thinks it does
This shit seems to be more and more common. It doesn't represent the US army, but it's common.
You do realize there are no troops on the ground in Lybia, correct?
There aren't any in Libya either.
Usually the american government classifies tapes or pictures like this and no one is tried :colbert:
Maybe they fucked up or are starting to grasp morals.
Us army is one of the most civil and atrocracy free armies in the world. Some people get fucked up or are fucked up but they are in every army.
This doesn't even hold a candle up to the russian army.
I do think russia is worse than america and china is the worst of the three but because this is an american dominant forum stuff about the american army comes up more often.
This shit seems to be more and more common. It doesn't represent the US army, but it's common.
Its not common, that's just fucking it. If it were common THEN we would have a problem its not common. The news doesn't follow the good deeds that our soldiers do, its like the police, only the times they fuck up gets reported.
and this is exactly what the usa is doing in libya right now.
what

I swear, I've seen the same frequency of fucked up things from Third Militias as with the US army.
The amount of atrocities that just fucking flow in is enough to be just SOMEWHAT concerned.

Specifically, Holmes is charged with the premeditated deaths of three civilians, possessing a dismembered human finger, wrongfully possessing photographs of human casualties, and smoking hashish.

Is this another one of those "which of these doesn't belong" games?
Seriously though, why is anyone surprised? It's war. We train these men to be ruthless, to kill and murder, and then it's a surprise when they enjoy it? I'm not saying this isn't a tragedy, nor am I saying they shouldn't be punished. It just seems a bit backwards to train a man to relish in the thought of killing another human being, and then be shocked when he does; sadly, these soldiers are just another product of the war machine.
What are the veteran post-return medical services like in the US?
They're terrible. The majority of them are denied financing for treatment of PTSD (at the same time, I get that financing even though it's not war-related trauma and I have never lifted a finger to aid this country). For the most part, they don't have jobs waiting for them when they come back--doubly so if they've been injured or dismembered in combat. More often than not, they're left at the mercy and care of their family and forgotten by the rest of the country.
You guys should really put some sort of "Qualifications" on your army, and not send in every redneck dumbfuck who can shoot a gun.
