We CAN learn from this shooting and learn why the shooter decided to do what he did, how to prevent future shootings, etc.

Maybe he was out for revenge, personal pleasure or or some mental illness, we can't exactly do anything about that.

I can GUARANTEE you that there were warning signs. He was seeing a psychiatrist as well which obviously indicates that something was troubling him.
