The new claims coming in according to The Guardian is that Trump's lawyer is now stating Trump can't obstruct justice because he's the president.

The I make the law defence. Which you'd probably only need if you did obstruct justice.

What a stupid assertion. The president can be found to have done an illegal thing. As can Congress or the judiciary. This lack of self-reflection has no basis in case law or the Constitution, period. Complete nonsense.

He's literally claiming he's above the law. Sounds like something a dictator would say.
Now that Trump having obstructed justice is essentially proven, by his own admission, anybody who shifts their position to argue that it's okay for the president to do so when he, himself, is the subject of the investigation he is attempting to obstruct is a real butthead.
I really wonder whether Mueller's team is actively compiling a list of potential charges against the President

"When the President does it, it's not illegal."
... maybe this isn't stupid Watergate. Maybe this is just Watergate again.

You can only move the goal posts so much until you are literally in dictatorship territory.
This new WaPo article says he was fired ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I assume it was a 'resign or be fired' situation
No idea why WaPo is saying he was fired, as it's pretty clear he resigned. Just like Trump claiming he fired a man who quit his job, it's inconsistent with what actually happened, and the devil is in the details.
I absolutely do not understand how this man is still the president of the U.S. and therefore supposedly the leader of the free world.
A man who tweets the wrong person when replying to Theresa May has the power to start a nuclear war. These are scary times.
Keep in mind Mattis has to give the launch command, I don't believe he'd let manchild-in-chief get away with a random nuke.
