Let's see what the US did
Tried to force airstrikes through UN to destroy the country like many others then started bitching because of vitos.
Supported shady "rebel" group multiple times with guns and money, with each and every group they supported turn out to be terrorists later (they still do this)
keeps whining about Assad like it's their right to choose the president for a country that counted the US as a direct enemy for over the past 50 years.
And then they find a country fucked up because of war and their actions, what they do? Sanctions and restriction, because destroying a country's economy will help stop the war for sure, while it doesn't even serve their sick goal because the government never had any trades with the US for a long time, it only affects civilians, which you killed their jobs and destroyed their lives by doing this
Keep up the good work!
Beautiful aint it? Yet russia is causing WW3.
Our media and government really like to keep up with the red scare tactic that they've been employing since the 1940s. They're somehow the boogyman, and we're the prefect little angels secretly funding rebel groups that eventually come and bite us in our ass.

Yeah let's kick russia out of the country, kick the president and attack the only force holding the country together (SAA) so the "moderate rebels" can kill the rest of us
Doesn't seem like that would work well at all, how is rubber supposed to stop a plane? It'd make a lot more sense to use a metal one. Frankly you'd be a lot more confident in the safety of your planes if you know that an iron curtain has descending across them.
You should know that the rubber curtain is the most robust thing to stop planes ever known.
You kinda commit multiple revolutions that ruined several countries and resulted in innumerable deaths as well as refugee crisis for no reason other than further barely profitable self-interest as well as occupied Iraq and Afghanistan but idk!
Nice whataboutism dude, keep it up proud of you.
I really don't understand some people's boogeyman view of the Russians.
Imagine lying like this to yourself despite fully knowing Russia has been attacking neighbours for quite some time.

So that's Russia summed up then, in your mind?

I never said our hands were clean, it's just we started to play by American rules and looks like somebody doesn't like when two players are at it.
Georgia was full on towards mass genocide if we didn't step in. They fired the first shots and not even at our military personnel - it was aimed at civilian districts. We stopped US backed war criminals and we're at fault, okay. Reminder that NO GEORGIAN LAND WERE ANNEXED. South Ossetia and Abkhazia wanted out, they got out.
Crimea, believe it or not, in fact wanted out of Ukraine and to join RF. Armed presence was unnecessary but I figure Kremlin wanted 100% favorable result given the opportunity.
After shit finally hit the fan (sanctions and whatnot) people upstairs decided that "fuck it, time to play in the big boys league" and went full on USA by supporting "moderate rebels" in Ukraine and pushing own self-interest in Syria. Quite familiar, isn't it? Change flags and there's your favorites.
Waggle your tail for US bullshit some more why don't you? Russia is no saint but America is not better in that regard.
P.S. Afghanistan would've been a better place today if USSR succeeded. But no, USA had to fuck it all up by creating Al Qaeda and financing Bin Laden - better to ruin everything and let it bite us in the ass few years down the line than let somebody else do a better job, am I right?

Well considering Afghanistan is better off now than it was under the Taliban, don't know why you're getting so upset. More Afghanis are in school, have more access to basic healthcare, infant mortality dropped by a third, and longevity is up. More people have access to electricity and modern technology, it still isn't perfect, but its a shitload better than living under fanatical religious extremists. There was no way to tell Gulbuddin Hekmatyar would turn 180 degrees and oust the president, starting a civil war in the process. But no that's somehow our fault right? Oh and Pakistan sent 80-100k troops to support the Taliban from 1994- 1999. Its nice to forget crucial details about events isn't it?
Imagine supporting invading Ukraine and stealing territory from it, you're pathetic.

Actually yes the US is leagues better.
Also lol, the USSR is the reason Afghanistan got fucked up, you need to at least learn your history before shilling for Russia blindly. The US just cleaned the hellhole of a mess USSR left behind up.
It's always fun to see both sides tries to justify their actions and make themselves sound 'better' while both sides are as bad as the others.
There's no true 'good' side tbh.
But I guess its kinda off topic by now, so let's just say I'm glad that the pilot survived and received serious injury in the end.

Surely us giving them weapons wasn't a good way to approach the situation either. But as jason3232 said:

Obligatory picture of the well maintained engine room of the Admiral Kuznetsov.

As a comparison here is the engine room of the Liaoning's which was a Kuznetsov-class bought by the Chinese

You can't really properly compare the two, the Liaoning was recently gutted and rebuilt from the ground up internally and is just as much a National Symbol of power and propaganda tool as it is a training carrier.
The Kuznetsov on the other hand has been in need of a major overhaul in decades which it's finally suppose to be getting next year.
