My family of 4 minus non-essential things spends maybe £70 a week. Sometimes less.
12 pounds on 7 people? How the hell? I spend almost that much just on myself.
Morrisons. For example, I'll break down last night's dinner. Spicy Chorizo - £2.39 Chorizo Pamplona - £2.00 2 Greek Feta Cheese - £1.60 2 Bunches of Spring (Salad) Onions - £0.49 Pack of mixed fresh Chillies - £0.45 Olive Oil - £2.19 3 Bulbs of garlic - £0.99 1kg of Spaghetti - £1.35 Total - £11.46. I had two bowls of that + a 3rd just now for breakfast and there's still a ton left over. (Delicious by the way, should try it)
Of course he doesn't know how much it costs to feed a family, he's a politician. He probably ate at an expensive restaurant for 90% of his meals in the last month.
Dollars, not Euros
Lol, are you fucking kidding? I mean, ignoring the fact you literally got the entirely wrong currency there, £164 is on par with $200+ post exchange rate.
Maybe he goes to Aldi.
When I went down to London in January the place I went through (can't remember where) had a fuckload of markets with really cheap vegetables and the like. It's not unrealistic.
Maybe he goes to Aldi.
I pretty much only shop at aldi and I still spend more than that per week on food for me, my wife, and my son.
I know it's not true, but part of me wants to think that American politicians arn't this out of touch. My family is a family of 5, and we spend about $200 every week on food.
Morrisons. For example, I'll break down last night's dinner.
Morrisons? You bloody rich ponce you.

The word used here is groceries, who says he doesn't go to restaurant each day for example.
The missus and I have breakfast, lunch and a home-cooked dinner every day, this only costs us about £60 a week average.
He probably does, but spends £300 a week in restaurants. [editline]21st May 2014[/editline] Or Thousands.
If you cook food yourself you can easily feed a family of 4 for ~$8 a meal. (less for breakfast) I made a pretty darn delicious pasta dish today that probably cost around $1.50 per person.
Remember that you also need to count in higher costs of living in Europe on average, sales taxes and a bunch of other stuff. The US is actually deceptively cheap for a lot of stuff.
The missus and I have breakfast, lunch and a home-cooked dinner every day, this only costs us about £60 a week average.
Now add in two kids.
In Poland 80 pounds in PLN weekly is pretty average. Slightly higher than average, even. Oh wait actually I miscalculated, the above statement is about 40 pounds. 80 pounds is more than most families spend. Probably because everything here is cheap as fuck and we make less money.

Though besides sausage I see no meat so I guess that makes sense. I need at least one dish a day to contain proper meat or fish.
To be honest I think its dumb to expect a guy who is busy trying to be leader of a political party to remember how much he spends on groceries (assuming its even him who buys them) I'm no fan of Miliband, but its a bit silly to trash him over this
I think he ought to be trashed about it - he has tried to build himself up as the alternative to the 'out of touch' Tories, particularly when it emerged that David Cameron and Boris Johnson didn't know the price of bread and milk respectively, but really he's just as out of touch as the rest of them.
if youre havin a go at morrisons ill fuckin ave you
morrisons salad bar literally the best ever
morrisons salad bar literally the best ever
I just had one that was spicy mayonnaise or some shit, tasted like the stuff you get on Gregg's sandwiches, I wanted to put my dick in it but it cost £4 so I didn't
morrisons salad bar literally the best ever
You don't want to know how filthy it gets underneath it. I used to work in morrisons, when the underside got cleaned it was pretty much moving. Thank fuck I was in another department.
