So if someone kicks me in the ball can he be judged for crime against humanity because he's just attempted a genocide ?
Come on guys, you can do better than ad hominem. Even if you disagree with the guy, at least try to be respectful.
Sadly, if you want to see someone treated with respect around here, a lot of the time you have to do it yourself. Respect seems to be a lost virtue to a lot of people.

Respect is earned, not given. There is little if any reason to respect someone who fails to respect human life or reason.

Respect is earned, it is not inherent. Stumbling into a thread like this yelling "ABORTION IS MURDER" despite mountains of evidence to the contrary isn't going to get you any respect.

We gave him exactly the respect warranted.
Which is: None.
Well, this was quite an interesting thread. Same time tomorrow?
As funny as the discussion is, I have something to state.
Even if our society had fully funded orphanages, it'd still be a terrible choice for children. Children sent to these places have a good chance to feel like they aren't worth the love of others. The longer a kid stays at an orphange the more likely they grow up without the feeling of being accepted or wanted.
Orphanges are a better choice for kids, if compared to being dumped off, sold to someone, or living in a shitty home. But unwanted children won't always grow up feeling the same as kids that lived on a home with their original parents.
I'm sure some FPers were orphans and they could tell us how adoption was.
If a zygote's a person, then every small cut is a genocide.
Papers are horrible people.

I don't mean respect as in thinking he's great or worthy or could be right, just in that you let him state his opinion without being insulted or harassed (maybe "common courtesy" would be a better term). There's no reason to attack the guy just because he has an irrational belief. Tell him he's wrong, but also tell him why instead of insulting him. Piling on him with insults isn't going to convince him any better, if at all.
Doubly so if you're going to respond like this:
oh so you're one of those "abortion is murder!!" kooks.
i can explain why you're wrong but if i have to do that then you probably have the intelligence of a first grader. nothing to see here folks.
"i'm not going to tell you why your so rong you idiot"
EDIT:
Stumbling into a thread like this yelling "ABORTION IS MURDER" despite mountains of evidence to the contrary isn't going to get you any respect.
Except he didn't. His first post here was asking why the doctor should be put on currency to spit on anti-choicers. He never yelled "ABORTION IS MURDER", he just stated his (factually incorrect) opinions and asked a few questions.
But here's the thing: No matter what anyone would say to him, he's too close minded to listen. So really no point in arguing anyways.
There's no point in being rude to him either. He wasn't being belligerent at all, so why not try to be the better person and just ignore him when he clearly isn't responding to any reasoning?
