Republicans’ “Internet Freedom Act” would wipe out net neutrality

The real shame is the people who eat shit like "FCC has made free speech illegal" right up with no attempt to dig into and look at what is really going on. This are the morons that are fucking everything up for the rest of us.
"Internet Freedom Act"...by bringing content access completely under the control of three or four gigantic corporations.
Is this the "freedom" that Republicans are always bleating about? Because they can shove it up their asses.
ugh
really republicans...

It seems to have grown much more over recent times.
I understand the importance of net neutrality, not to mention fuck comcast so anything to bring them down the better.
And lets be real here, ALL politicians take bribes.
I'm fiscally republican.
I am pro gay rights, marriage etc. I'm Catholic but don't use it as a fucking strict guideline, only follow its values.
I despise Obama cuz he's fucked the medical system but at the same time i think it's silly when people say he's worse than Putin.
The only republicans I have a problem with are the bible humpers who would blow Jesus at any given moment because they put down everyone for not being part of the "elite."
In my experience however, they are a minority. I feel as if we Republicans are being misrepresented in the government by the people who say they are representing our views but really are just pushing their agenda cuz lel money
Fiscally republican just translates into "I hate poor people". Seriously, Republican fiscal plans are utterly indefensible. All this bullshit about making cuts for businesses and reducing consumer and employee protections is fucking ridiculous. Our economy is ridiculously powerful and yet poverty runs rampant throughout the nation. People work multiple jobs just keep their heads above water. People exit prison and as unable to find any job capable of Fina cially supporting them, so they reoffend in an effort just to have a life.
That medical plan that you hate so much exists because of the fucking republican party. If it wasn't for " fiscal republicans" the rest of us would have nationalized medicine by now. Which would save us boatloads of money and minimize suffering of the lower classes.
You aren't being misrepresented. The fundamental components of your party are terrible, and, when enacted, hurt hundreds of millions of people.
I still don't really get these types of "donations". How do they differ from bribes? What is the law regarding them?
It is a bribe, but it's official therefor it's not a bribe. Technically a gift/donation is just that, but without the expectation of anything in return, while a bribe is expecting something in return. So money gets passed around and as long as you call it a gift, and if it's above a certain amount it's reported, it's all good in the hood. But we all know, REALLY, what it is. They just hide behind the official rules they themselves passed because it means more money for them
Repubs and Dems take months and hate each other and fight tooth and nail on everything, will even go so far as to shut down the government to try and get their way. But when it comes time to vote on a pay raise for themselves, it's voted and passed instantly. They make $200k a year and more than half of them are already millionaires. Yeah I think it's obvious who's interest they have in mind
FUCK OFF.
And Republicans have a majority, but hopefully Obama will veto it when it gets to his desk.

We will start respecting the republicans a bit more when they stop bringing snowballs to congress in an effort to disprove global warming

Yeah, it's freedom for the corporation to fuck the consumer in the ass :v:

This. I'm sorry, but there's no part of Republican policy, fiscal OR social - not a single tiny one - that isn't engineered to screw over the poor, shrink the middle class, and net the rich more money. America's problem is that the Democrats aren't a whole lot better. At the end of the day, no matter who you vote for, the rich will get richer, and the poor poorer. But the difference between them and Republicans is still night and day.
According to my goverment teacher she said that the internet will be considered a utility, and will be taxed. she's an idiot overall but is there some validity to it?
It oughta be a fucking crime to write misleading names for bills and laws and the like
But then how will they ever garner public support for the "Totally Not Kicking Puppies" bill?!
Yes, businesses should have the freedom to charge whatever they want and do things however they want. Competition is supposed to exist for that reason.
Just like that consumers should have the freedom to tell these businesses to fuck off without penalty for unsatisfactory service.
I'm all for letting these businesses do whatever they want, but its that line of thinking that has made net neutrality a necessity in this day and age. Also, fuck these guys for trying to sneak a "muh freedoms" debate into this bill.
Why is everyone blaming the entire GOP on this? Isn't it just Blackburn that's trying to pass this shit, and just Blackburn that got donations from the big name ISP's?

They eliminate competitors with shady stuff, from what I'm understanding. They try to get a land locked out of other competitors and abuse pricing for themselves.
Businesses should be free to do whatever they want up until it becomes unethical.
Wait for the old people to die off?
They're indoctrinating the children as we speak, though.
Realistically I don't even know how to fight against them. Logic, research, and compassion all fail to make headway. We can't seem to legislate our way out of this be a use they gum up the works. I don't know how we fix this, short of violence. Frankly we'd probably even lose the violence route because they have a never ending supply of blind followers.
I don't see a way out of this loop.
The only way to sway them is to pay them more money than their "contributors".
It's sad to see people defending stuff like this though. Many of them are against Net Neutrality simply because "the government is regulating our internet!" and they literally believe that the government is going to use it to censor the internet China/North Korea-style. And their biggest reason for believing this? "They won't even let anyone see what's in those 328 pages!"
There's no way the GOP is going away. They have an entire propaganda network to convince people of whatever they want. All they have to do is have Fox News tell people that, say, they should support the XL pipeline, and millions of people, young and old, will zealously defend it, even though pretty much the only people that will benefit from it are investors.

Yeah, it's freedom for the corporation to fuck the consumer in the ass :v:
"But I thought all you lib-tards were all FOR gays?!"
I shit you not, "lib-tard" gets thrown around far more than it needs to.
I really find it horrible that corporations can even attempt to fuck the entire populace over because they buy the people who are supposed to protect the populace, and while this has been going on for ages, it really gets me salty
as a conservative
fuck these guys
Even my super conservative dad hates these fuckers

You're surprised that people on the internet hate the political party trying to ruin the internet?
For people who oppose homosexuality they sure like sucking the dicks of every big internet provider they can.
According to my goverment teacher she said that the internet will be considered a utility, and will be taxed. she's an idiot overall but is there some validity to it?
Zero validity whatsoever. Utilities are only taxed as such if they're federally subsidized, and ISPs are not. Your teacher doesn't know what she's talking about.
I don't see how anyone can see this shit and say "Oh republicans and democrats are the same, it's a choice between the same of two different assholes"
Fuck republicans
as a conservative

the gop (and their propaganda channel) doesnt even represent real people let alone real conservatives
they just sit around thinking of new ways to fuck over the poor and middle class

Why would people not hate them. The image they give off is either they're some street whore you pay to try and change a law you don't like or their old, balding idiots who know nothing.

Obama didn't fuck the medical system it was the amazingly retarded republicans who fucked it up by making it the worse every time because Obama actually tried to strike a deal rather then use his power to just install the original budget.
I don't see how anyone can see this shit and say "Oh republicans and democrats are the same, it's a choice between the same of two different assholes"

Dude, I heard a third-year political science major say that in class the other day.
People are stupid. Well, that, and apparently we have a huge cultural bias in favor of presenting oneself as independent...even though decades of research indicates that virtually everyone consistently leans toward one party or the other.

Your whole post was terrible, but this has to be one of the stupidest things I've ever read. Do you understand what a representative democracy is? If a candidate or party doesn't represent your views, don't fucking vote for them. I thought that was obvious.
Yeah, back into the political rabbit hole I go.
Yeah, back into the political rabbit hole I go.
I think it's never a good thing to retreat from criticism when it's logical. Why would you ever run from that? Maybe I'm a weird person to suggest this, but if you're wrong, you should be excited to be proven wrong because you can only possibly come out the other side of that a better person. If you stay wrong and continue to act with false information then there's other less positive outcomes.
the gop (and their propaganda channel) doesnt even represent real people let alone real conservatives

And yet they apparently do represent real people because people keep voting them into office.
