Another idiot with his startup.
Elon please give my mixtape a listen!
I think i missed that part. Fill me in?

The first ship is going to named, "Heart of Gold."

how's he gonna go on about creating an artificial magnetic field?
I get well focused on his answers to a decent question then some dickhead comes on next with something totally irrelevant. Cunts.

The first ship. Not the ship class in general.
I'm glad he's encouraging competition (Not like he hasn't done it before).
We don't need any UACs or Weyland-Yutanis, we need multiple manufactures/corporations and subcontractors along with industry standards to make spacefairing mankind work.
"Only time for 1 more question!"
"Alright bye!"

hey elon please add me on facebook please!

Probably couldn't wait to get out of there, so many idiotic questions
The first ship. Not the ship class in general.
Ah, that's what I meant. Should've clarified, sorry.

Can you blame him after that?

After some of those questions I can't blame him. His presentation was great but some of the questions :suicide:
Not exactly a positive note to end on with "the probability of death is probably quite high the first mission"
Refuel station monopoly on the solar systems sounds like an evil mastermind for the future
Elon Musk, you steely-eyed missile man.
Didn't get to watch the stream, anyone got a summary of the most important points?
In between Elon's shy presentation and the terrible audience, there was some interesting numbers on the methodology on making it affordable and possible with today's tech.

I'm just waiting for the rise of the Post-Terran Mining Corporation.
Not exactly a positive note to end on with "the probability of death is probably quite high the first mission"
No point in sugar coating it. It's a fact and he wants it to be known (as he stated it multiple times throughout this presentation) that it's very likely there will be fatalities on the first mission.

big fucking rocket will send people to mars
Didn't get to watch the stream, anyone got a summary of the most important points?
Essentially, he's saying that to create a sustainable mars colony would require a fleet of hundreds of vessels all launching together every 2 years. The actual crew capsules would be sent up early and fueled up about 5 times before that 2 year window. He didn't specify when the crew would actually be sent up, only the fuel...
It's possible with today's tech, but to set up an actual self sustaining colony would require a very large amount of space infrastructure.
What's the latest on the last Falcon 9 explosion then?
Still haven't heard anything new yet

god, the saturn series is still just so iconic, nothing will ever beat that powerful style

It's the fins and launch escape tower that does it.
Someone posted this in the SpaceX FB group:
Elon is only one man, and he is trying to save the world in the form of sustainable energy production and use and then is trying to safeguard humanity by making us a multi planet species. While spending a bit of time keeping an eye on the development of AI. Can you think of anyone else, at the moment, who is really doing more than him. I don't think failure is an option for this guy. We all need to support him as much as we can.
When you honestly believe someone when they say that the only reason they are gathering assets and wealth is the ultimate goal of colonizing Mars you know you have someone very unique. Elon isn't lacking for support, but damn I wouldn't mind if his direction was followed by the rest of the world.
