Is Obama trying to give Romney the election? Things like this only make him look bad.
No worse than Chameleon Romney and Randroid Ryan.
Politicians suck. What ever happened to "A house devided cannot stand"? This partisan shit is the worst thing for America.
I honestly want to know since when was it a political era? Seriously the only person who followed all of Washington's points of being a president was Washington.
Is Obama trying to give Romney the election? Things like this only make him look bad.
There's absolutely no way in the universe that Romney can be given this election after these past few months of him spewing retarded and evil shit. Besides. "Gentleman" in politics is like soldiers marching up in rank and file in order to fire rifles at each others... But that's another thing Americans liked to do once. I hope theocracy becomes something you liked... as in past tense.
You all really can only view the world from one perspective. It's so antithetical to the development of civil discourse. There is such a heavy democratic bias on this forum that it's astounding. It's as if you all think that every Republican politician is a monster and that every Democrat is a saint.
Your tears are delicious. [editline]27th August 2012[/editline] It's not even a democratic bias, this forum is international. It's not merely liberals that are calling conservatives out as stupid, the rest of the world is as well.
This is exactly why I'm voting for Cthulhu.
It's not merely liberals that are calling conservatives out as stupid, the rest of the world is as well.
I understand it's an international forum, I didn't know liberals only existed in the United States. Call out whoever you want as stupid, just understand that I'm going to call you out as stupid for generalizing. There are conservatives and liberals out there who are much more intelligent than you or I. To conclude that one group is "stupid" is most certainly asinine. [editline]27th August 2012[/editline]
Stop crying.
Nice retort, do you use this one every time someone disagrees with you?
There are conservatives and liberals out there who are much more intelligent than you or I. To conclude that one group is "stupid" is most certainly asinine.
And yet the GOP hasn't shown a single shred of evidence to support this point for the entire election cycle. The only republican to say a single thing smart this year was when McCain called out the rest of the party on their asinine persecution of one of Senator Clinton's aides, and he was hardly speaking for the whole party. IF there's smart GOP members none of them have spoken up. Looking at the evidence they've put forth I have no other conclusion to arrive at besides "The GOP is run by fucktards".
I seriously hope Obama loses this election. America is in for some tough times if he wins.
i know right! the socialist, muslim, athiest, kenyan, communist jerk will take away all our guns! and white people will lose their rights! and christians will be executed in the street! god bless romney! [editline]28th August 2012[/editline]
I agree, I don't say much anymore because of just that. I like having debates, not getting struck with numerous ad hominems about conservatives.
conservative and republican isn't the same thing and while there are plenty of bad democrats, there are even worse and more of stupid republicans
No worse than Chameleon Romney and Randroid Ryan.
Randroid. Holy shit thats amazing. [editline]28th August 2012[/editline]
Nice retort, do you use this one every time someone disagrees with you?
I use it every time conservatives cry conspiracy because their soapbox is being challenged. It's annoying and childish.
i know right! the socialist, muslim, athiest, kenyan, communist jerk will take away all our guns! and white people will lose their rights! and christians will be executed in the street! god bless romney! They are so unimportant, I even forgot their names. And don't get me started on this unpolite Mr. Obama.
Exactly, and that is why you vote for me, and not for all these other candidates. They are so unimportant, I even forgot their names. And don't get me started on this unpolite Mr. Obama.
A banana with sticks for arms & legs would be a better candidate. And have a toddler buttom smashing a Speak&Spell for commentaries.
There are conservatives and liberals out there who are much more intelligent than you or I. To conclude that one group is "stupid" is most certainly asinine.
Oh yes probably. I'm not sure what this has to do with you thinking facepunch is deifying every democrat gracing our delightful forum.
I understand it's an international forum, I didn't know liberals only existed in the United States.
Then you'd understand that American Liberals are European Conservatives, and American Conservatives are just fuckin' nuts.
Then you'd understand that American Liberals are European Conservatives, and American Conservatives are just fuckin' nuts.
Many conservatives here are technically neo-liberals. Again I'd disagree with calling any party "fuckin' nuts".
Again I'd disagree with calling any party "fuckin' nuts".
Just out of curiosity just how far off to the right are you? You have to be pretty far to not see all the batshit insanity the GOP has been spewing as of late.
Just out of curiosity just how far off to the right are you? You have to be pretty far to not see all the batshit insanity the GOP has been spewing as of late.
just because most of the outspoken people in the GOP today are morons doesn't mean the ideology of conservatism in and of itself is moronic, at least fiscal conservatism anyways, social conservatism can go fuck itself
just because most of the outspoken people in the GOP today are morons doesn't mean the ideology of conservatism in and of itself is moronic, at least fiscal conservatism anyways, social conservatism can go fuck itself
no the current brand of fiscal conservatism in america is quite stupid as well. they have this fetish for some brand of theoretical economics that any mainstream economist worth their body weight considers crazy.
You all really can only view the world from one perspective. It's so antithetical to the development of civil discourse. There is such a heavy democratic bias on this forum that it's astounding. It's as if you all think that every Republican politician is a monster and that every Democrat is a saint.
No it's as if I feel that the Republican party in general is bad and should feel bad, and the Democratic party is a little better, but since we have only two options I am going for the Democrats. You see what I did there? I made a statement about something that was a known to me, like how I felt, instead of something that was unknown, like how everyone else thinks.
just because most of the outspoken people in the GOP today are morons doesn't mean the ideology of conservatism in and of itself is moronic, at least fiscal conservatism anyways, social conservatism can go fuck itself
Fiscal conservatism is dumb, social conservatism is fucking lunacy.
just because most of the outspoken people in the GOP today are morons doesn't mean the ideology of conservatism in and of itself is moronic, at least fiscal conservatism anyways, social conservatism can go fuck itself
I agree with the GOP's economic ideas in principle, but not in practice. They say, "We want to cut spending!" But what they do is, "Let's take spending from something mildly useful and throw it into defense budgets"
Every time I read a poltical thread about America I really fucking wish that people would stop crying and just vote for a party they actually support. There are a lot of parties out there. A lot of them even make it on the ballots! Everyone tears up like the Republicans and the Democrats are the only choices, when they could vote for pretty much anyone else and feel good about voting. Also, third parties have a history of not getting elected, but a lot of them seem to change the political atmosphere just by being noticed. Also who gives a fuck if it's never happened before? tl;dr: stop about how much <latest republican/democrat> sucks and is terrible and vote for someone you support, regardless of their party affiliation.
He gave a speech at my college today. I didn't get to go though. :saddowns:

[editline]29th August 2012[/editline]
And it's attitudes like that that keep what you say rolling along, unchanging.
Or jerry mandering, or just statistics.
And it's attitudes like that that keep what you say rolling along, unchanging.
See the post above yours for the reason why it can not work without first changing the voting system.
just because most of the outspoken people in the GOP today are morons doesn't mean the ideology of conservatism in and of itself is moronic, at least fiscal conservatism anyways, social conservatism can go fuck itself
The GOP represents the right in America, and all of their talking heads are spouting complete nonsense. These talking heads also happen to be the leaders of the party. As such they are what the right stands for in America, and they're really fucking batshit this cycle. If you don't like people assuming conservative = batshit bonkers put some new talking heads up. The ones currently representing the right are lunatics. [editline]28th August 2012[/editline]
And it's attitudes like that that keep what you say rolling along, unchanging.
None of us have the power to change it. The voting system itself thrives on a two party system that brings with it right versus left bickering and bitching. We won't have a multi-party system until we change how elections are run...a big part of it would be getting rid of the electoral college. The electoral college more or less guarantees that only a republican or democrat gets into the white house. It also means the popular vote amounts to fuck all, because they can very easily override the majority if they so desire. 'Tis why I don't vote at all. I don't feel like my vote amounts to anything when it can be overridden with a snap of the fingers. When voting, I'm not saying "I want Candidate Y for president!", I'm saying "Would you kindly choose candidate Y for president?". Waste of time. I'm better off not voting at all.
And it's attitudes like that that keep what you say rolling along, unchanging.
We need to change to voting system to give third parties any sort of viability. which democrats and republicans are pretty reluctant to since it hasn't really changed in past hundred years and they're used to it.
Still ain't no 1828
Rachel Jackson had been having chest pains throughout the campaign, and she became aggravated by the personal attacks on her marriage. She became ill and died on December 22, 1828. Jackson accused the Adams campaign, and Henry Clay even more so, of causing her death, saying, "I can and do forgive all my enemies. But those vile wretches who have slandered her must look to God for mercy." When the results of the election were announced, a mob entered the White House, damaging the furniture and lights. Adams escaped through the back and large punch bowls were set up to lure the crowd outside. Conservatives were horrified at this event, and held it up as a portent of terrible things to come from the first Democratic president. Andrew Jackson was sworn in as President on March 4, 1829.
