afaik Sweden is the only country I know that isn't fucked up in any shape or form
I think Pirating is a good thing, right now. You have all these companies trying to nickel and dime the absolute SHIT out of everyone. Especially with games. So much so they give you half the game for a full price, and then charge you more for small bits and pieces later, DRM that puts legit customers at the whim of servers somewhere else in the globe, even for single player games, and when those servers go down, legit customers are boned until they're back up... Pirates don't... Accounts, Logins, DRM, Ridiculous Cut content released as DLC, Subscriptions are soon to not just be an MMO deal...
There are 3 reasons people pirate:
1) To steal the game, they weren't going to buy it anyway, No Sale Lost or in need of protection
2) No Demo or trial is available, Uncertain if it will Run on their machine, No reason to protect
3) No Demo or Trial, Uncertain if they'll like the game, want to try it first before purchasing, No reason to protect
So what's the point
What happened to making the game and releasing the game, no strings attached
cook the cock
Sweden is the best country ever

Scandinavia in general is just awesome.
No, it's Finland you're confusing it with. Finland has the polar bears. :colbert:
Don't they have a lot of immigration problems?

I just realised how hypocritical that was.

You forgot reason 4:
They have the money but don't want to pay.
I never got this, why are they lobbying? They are stealing for fucks sake.
pirate isp! now you pay for internet that allows you to steal games!

Then that falls into reason #1
Sweden is the best country for internet ever.

They're gonna sue you for saying that, that comment just caused 15 million dollars in damages to them.
This isn't about piracy, although I know it looks like it - it's about privacy.
Then that falls into reason #1
"Oh hey I don't want this BUT I'LL PIRATE IT ANYWAY"
I never got this, why are they lobbying? They are stealing for fucks sake.
Privacy, net neutrality, sane copyright laws & enforcement (RIAA: "Enjoy your $20000 fine  "). It's also a form of activism that helps draw attention to the Pirate Party and the other issues they focus on, because they are a political party after all.
Bring one to the US!
No, it's Finland you're confusing it with. Finland has the polar bears. :colbert:
Then what is this sign doing in norway?

There are polar bears in both Norway and Finland, but more in Norway. Funfact, there are only 3 polar bears in Finland, all located in the Ranua Wildlife Park while there are several polar bears in Svalbard, Norway.
How exactly does a random entrepreneurial start-up get Parliamentary immunity? Sounds like a load of crap to me.
By, you know, being owned by people in the parliament?
Then that falls into reason #1
Nah. Those would probably buy it if they couldn't pirate it.

Kôrv = sausage (translator lol)
in "Värmländska"
But if you like accents, go to ekshärad, or as the people from there say: "ekshär"
