Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't most of the STALKER devs leave when GSC shut down?

I fucking love the STALKER series but I don't dare becoming hyped over a potential sequel if barely anyone from the original dev team will work on it. I have a feeling it just won't be the same as the old STALKER games.
