If so, how?
When this whole thing started you could get any number of games with the code. I was a bit late to the party but I managed to grab three or four on one account.
Guys, don't try and justify it. Just forget about the fact that you're taking a small bit of change away from them and enjoy the exploit. It's your moral fault if you did it, and hey, I did it too, it's okay.

top 3 are on the same acount
bottom 2 are different accounts
(3 accounts total)
log out, clear cookies and cache after buying a game and repeat until you hit 3 games. then you make another account

Amateur (I owned BFBC2 and sims 3 before)
Is it still work?
Fuck, they've now made it clear that they're banning people who are taking advantage of the glitch, and you're STILL trying to pretend that it's their fault you're exploiting their system to purchase games.

you're acting like this is some huge big deal and it's a horrible tragedy and EA can't do anything about it. OMG THEY ARE SO SCREWED HOW COULD PEOPLE DO THIS TO THEM!!!!
are you for real?
they made an INFINITELY usable coupon, do you realize how obvious it is that they shouldn't have done that? it's clearly their fault. This isn't like a hacker leaking a game or a password, this is SPECIFICALLY their fault, THEY specifically caused this.
Wow, maybe you really AREN'T playing dumb.
I don't give a shit about EA's livelihood you dolt. I'm talking about the ATTITUDE you have. The ATTITUDE that you're entitled to these games because someone made a mistake and that EA is such a big company and they shouldn't care. The attitude you have is that if someone makes a mistake, it's totally okay to take advantage of the situation because it's their fault they made the mistake, and not yours for acting on it.
At least someone in this thread gets it. I know this concept isn't that hard to understand. You're just hell bent on being dishonest I guess.
Is it still work?
Yes.
And nobody answered me. Are they banning accounts who use it? I got Dark Spore and Spore, and I paid for 2 other games FULL PRICE. Both were $19.99, but that was a month or so ago.
I just finished installing BF:2142, when I run it the game it stops working. Anyone who installed their games get this?
If it wasn't exploiting the system they wouldn't be threatening to ban people who take advantage of it.
Think, ffs.
EA can ban you for whatever reason they want. They don't even have to tell you why. Their EULA basically lets them do whatever they want with the consumer.
source
We're in a thread about how EA is closing and banning accounts who are abusing this system and you're asking me for a source?
By the way guys, this code was offered as a survey gift, you won't get banned for using it once on your main account. Probably will on throwaway accounts though

I'm trying to explain to you that it would be better to remove the games and totally stop the exploits instead of outright banning them
I'm not justifying using it, but it's their fault for having a broken system.
do I need a tl;dr for this?
Anyone have a list of what games work?
Should I explain more "In depth" for you that actually fixing it would be a far better option and why you're idea of "just banning everyone" is insane and absolutely mindless?
Because I'm pretty sure simply arresting every single person that downloads a free movie is far worse than to just prevent them from downloading it in the first place.
It doesn't work for me.
I'm trying to explain to you that it would be better to remove the games and totally stop the exploits instead of outright banning them
Yeah I'm sure you think that's a better idea.
I'm not justifying using it, but it's their fault for having a broken system.
This sentence is nothing but a justification.

You're acting like people who used the exploit are entitled to the games, like he said.
How is it their fault that you're clearly purchasing products with a glitched system.
I don't know maybe because it's their system that's bunked and not the people

It's the people that are at fault. That's not even a debatable topic. It's honestly just plain and simple fact.
Yeah I'm sure you think that's a better idea.
This sentence is nothing but a justification.
What if someone didn't know this was bad? And they got a 19.99 game for free? They should ban people that take advantage of it, not people that use it once.

My idea? It's what people are saying they're doing. When did this become my idea? I was simply pointing out that was what the apparent consequence was.
Yeah I'm sure you think that's a better idea.

This wouldn't happen if they weren't sloppy with coupons
My idea? It's what people are saying they're doing. When did this become my idea? I was simply pointing out that was what the apparent consequence was.
to be fair it looks like you're trying to heavily justify mass bans
Question: Thoose games dont need Origin in order to work?
-Battlefield 2 Complete
-Battlefield Bad Company 2
-Dead Space
-Mass Effect
Should I explain more "In depth" for you that actually fixing it would be a far better option?
Actually "fixing the problem" could take time, something that millions of users who know about an exploit are going to use to exploit it even more. Banning grievous exploiters as a warning and threatening bans of future exploiters is a good move to make in terms of actually getting the thing fixed whilst taking minimal losses (the people who are now all going "OMG NEVUR BUYEN GAEM AGAIN LOL!!!" were all probably shit customers anyway so no loss there).
Exploiting something like this massively just screams entitlement complex, just because someone fucks up doesn't mean you have a right to exploit that fuck up to such an extent they have to actually start taking action against you. It just makes you look like a massive asshole.
fakenamegenerator.com's credit card numbers aren't working.
any solutions?

Actually didn't they already ban as warnings? Did nothing, they would have to ban everyone in order to make a clear message.
They should ban people that take advantage of it, not people that use it once.
Uh, no shit?
When did I say they should ban people who just use it once. Key word is EXPLOIT. If you're using it once it's how it was meant to be used. If you're making new accounts to get new games you're not someone who "didn't know this was bad".
lol, if someone went inside and committed burglary into a house accidently left open, you'd guys would say the burglar should be let go cause it's the house owner's fault for leaving the door open
This wouldn't happen if they weren't sloppy with coupons

Another justification.
Keep telling me you're not trying to justify this. It's hilarious.

I have to say that thinking about people that don't know that this coupon thing is wrong to do is hard when discussing it in a thread with some hundred people posting about how they're getting accounts full of free games
"no officer, it wasn't my fault, he left the house open, it's his fault that i burglarized it!"
