Well then keep up abusing the system and maybe you'll get one of your very own!
Making multiple accounts to use a code isn't really abusing the system.
If they made it once per IP and we were using VPNs then that would be abuse.
But this could be applied to pretty much any promo code that was meant for public use.
using a coupon isn't breaking the rules, using infinite numbers of them and knowingly doing it is lol
Because the system takes multiple coupons.
fakenamegenerator.com's credit card numbers aren't working.
any solutions?
They do just remove the spaces
I just finished installing BF:2142, when I run it the game it stops working. Anyone who installed their games get this?
Anyone?

Good, I want the email. I want EA to do something instead of just sitting there with grumpy faces and say "who's the asshole that thought this was a good idea"
Are you in denial?
No its called me using common sense on the internet.
I am not going to believe some random dude saying he got banned without evidence. That's just how people should work on the internet.
You have violated the Terms of Use of the coupon. It is exploiting.
No I didn't. I got one new game with it.
If a cop doesn't tell me to not take a DVD, and doesn't arrest me. Why should I worry? If the cop just looks at me, see's me stash the DVD, and doesn't do anything to stop me. Clearly no authority is being made. I would to have thought it was a "Take-A-DVD Day"
haha what the fuck, what kind of logic is that lol
No I didn't. I got one new game with it.
Did you complete a survey?
No I didn't. I got one new game with it.
If you got one new game in accordance to the rules, we obviously aren't talking about you.
Did you complete a survey?
Doesn't say in the ToS that a survey should be done. How was he to know you had to complete a survey in order to be granted a 19.99 off coupon.
If you put in fake credit card numbers will it actually work?
I only got one game from this that I haven't purchased before. So I shouldn't be affected really.

My thought process
"Oh neat a $20 off coupon that their system they created accepts, I'm going to get a good deal because I enjoy playing video games"
Apparently this is now exploitation.
Does it still work? It isn't for me
Does it still work? It isn't for me
nope
nope
If the code is finally deactivated, when will they start removing games/banning people? I mean there hasn't been much done.
I heard it only works with EA licensed titles

And it looks like the website just went down

not for me
And for those of you who think they won't ban people for exploiting a glitch: They've done it before. http://www.ign.com/articles/2011/11/14/ea-bans-battlefield-3-accounts-following-bug-exploit
And that was just for a game. You're fucking about in their business territory with this.
I doubt they will disable the code since it's a for a survey that got emailed to most people with a origin account.

I don't see why this was needed, of course they are gonna ban. You didn't need to post this.

That was just for battlefield 3.
An example of people abusing discount codes is Redbox. There is a whole website of Redbox codes for free movies, which of course anyone can use forever. All they have to do is skip the email screen everytime.

bug exploit != a purchase that will get them into massive shit if they were to ban every last account that used the code.
There are laws preventing EA from saying "OOPS WE FUCKED UP EVEN THOUGH THE TRANSACTION IS FULLY COMPLETE SO WE ARE JUST GOING TO NOT LET YOU HAVE ANYTHING ANYMORE."
They would be sued into the ground. I don't care if they have this clause in their EULA and ToS, those can be as easily ignored by a court as we all blow past them because we don't understand them.
Question: Thoose games dont need Origin in order to work?
-Battlefield 2 Complete
-Battlefield Bad Company 2
-Dead Space
-Mass Effect
-BulletStorm
I wonder if EA will sue everyone that used these codes multiple times. It's a lot of people and they would surely get more then what they lost today, so I wouldn't really doubt that they will do more then just ban accounts.

It depends on what the court thinks of this. I mean it's different if someone never bought from Origin and abused this. I have legally purchased games via Origin, and am looking to buying Sim City soon. So they could sue us if they wanted to.
The games I got today are equal to how much I have spent with EA and Origin. With Sim City's preorder coming up soon, I would have spent more on Origin then what I did with the code.

I don't think any of those require origin to be logged in to work.

The transaction was fully complete when the system spat out a game key.
From that moment onward, there is nothing EA can do about it.

They were also not in a hurry to fix it either as it was a multi use code so they are fucked on that front as well.
