Are there still players on BF2/BF2142 servers?
Yeah, BF2 has way more though.
Honestly though, they have a point EA is a shithole and is going down down down the drain because of it. although the "Radical" wording sounds just silly.
At least they're trying to recuperate by allowing everyone to have those free games. They could've just as easily removed the cheated games/banned a few people.
Honestly this was really the only choice that EA could have taken if they wanted to avoid litigation. Yeah, I know their EULA states that users aren't allowed to sue them, but an EULA cannot override state and federal laws about not providing a product which was promised.
I would've thought they could've revoked the games and asked users to re-do the survey except this time rake a better precaution with the code. Unless that's actually really hard in reality.
I actually immensely enjoy MoH for some reason, and I somehow could never get into BF3. I also enjoy Need for Speed World though, and everyone probably hates that.
I actually immensely enjoy MoH for some reason, and I somehow could never get into BF3. I also enjoy Need for Speed World though, and everyone probably hates that.
is there anyone playing multiplayer?
is there anyone playing multiplayer?
i saw about ~15 servers with people in them, all of them 24 man with only like 5 full ones.
I was going to do this but I couldn't find the games and it wouldn't let me go to checkout and their site is just a mess.
Damn, I didn't arrive on time to get a game, I wanted BF2142 :(
Aw, now I feel kinda bad for EA.
oh wow origin is competient for once cool that i got Battlefield 2, 2142 (lost my original copy CD Keys so this is nice), and dragon age 2 (needed something to laugh at) for no cost and no consequence.

this was probably EA just trying to boost the origin numbers for stockholders though
this was probably EA just trying to boost the origin numbers for stockholders though
I doubt ea did this on purpose. The guy who made this promotion is probably gonna get a lot of shit for what he did.
if a car is unlocked is it okay to steal it? if someone's front door is open is it okay to walk in and take their TV? fuck no, so don't try and say taking advantage of this situation shouldn't get you punished.

No one took advantage. They already said they aren't gonna punish. Dont use criminal situations in a legal one.

Also, wow, Medal of Honor is incredibly mediocre. I went in with low expectations and still I'm shocked.

I'm glad I got C&C 3 instead of RA3 or 4.
I missed it, all I wanted was SC4 cause I've never played it and kind of wanting to get into SC5.
Well, I think these games are enough to pay for the crap that battlefield3 was. You're forgiven, E.A.
I don't think people should scold you for taking advantage of a fuck-up but I don't think you all should be so pissy about it and neither should you justify your actions because "EA fucked me over when they released <videogame> and I didn't like it!!" or they fucked up your favorite series or company or whatever. You got free games by exploiting bad programming on EA's part, that's it, you didn't stick it to the man, go play them instead of justifying your actions to feel better about gaming the system (this is obviously not intended at people who didn't justify themselves or people who only got a single game)

Keep in mind everyone here was just having some fun getting free games and making jokes on E.A. for their screw up. (Also, explains, but doesn't really justifies.)
I only got Spore, I want to get Sim City 4 but I was too late.
So... did anyone get banned in the end? My games are still there and my account is ok... so far!
So... did anyone get banned in the end? My games are still there and my account is ok... so far!
Nope, and they're not planning to ban anybody or do anything at all (confirmed by Sam "QforQ" Houston)
