DDoS'ing 4chan won't do anything.
Someone needs to sue them or something.
Someone needs to sue them or something.
Sue who? DDosers or 4chan? If 4chan, I don't get why
Someone needs to sue them or something.
no not really and 4chan isn't a "them"
Someone needs to sue them or something.
There are so many doing it right now it would be useless and redundant to attempt to sue every single DDoS'er. Not to mention the ones behind proxies and SOCKS.
nooo not facebook and twitter!
I'm against both sides.
Waitwaitwait. Why doesn't someone DDOS Wikileaks or something?Problem solved, right? :v:
god damnit how the fuck am i suppose to withdrawl money for a fleshlight if these fucking people keep whacking their dicks all over their keyboards and lagging my shit up
Waitwaitwait. Why doesn't someone DDOS Wikileaks or something?Problem solved, right? :v:
they have over 1000 mirrors hosting their content plus torrents good luck with that
These kids just want to feel like they're changing history... Fuck.
No matter how I despise their DDOS attacks (I want them to stop right now because they block some of my payments) and their childish attitude, the 4chan-hate, in this thread, is just ridiculous. [editline]10th December 2010[/editline] We can blame /b/ for this thing, but not the other 4ch's communities

I don't know if you're being ironic, otherwise it's pretty stupid and disgraceful to consider /b/ as the only community of 4chan
Seems pretty stupid. Usually when Anon attacks something, its usually for the better/isn't a big deal anyway. But attacking major sites like these listed? Completely stupid.
There are so many doing it right now it would be useless and redundant to attempt to sue every single DDoS'er. Not to mention the ones behind proxies and SOCKS.
Proxy's wont work when DDoS'ing.
They're making news. People should look at what is being said by these attacks, rather than just throwing them off as petty or redundant. These attacks are a public reaction to what's happening to wikileaks. It is fucking fascinating.
Oh my god they actually attacked twitter. Some idiot was going around in the IRC saying to attack twitter for no reason.
Since a proxy has to receive your information, and then send it trough to the website you try to reach, you would be sending all the garbage to the proxy, which would then be DDoS'd, and unable to forward the garbage to the targeted website. I'd like to know how you think you'd be able to DDoS behind a proxy.
I calculated (theoretically) I can hit just short of 1000mb/s on a site. I'm not going into details though, nor am I actually going to test said theory. Best part is none of the attack would be done by me.
Botnets are also fascinating. And will become an essential tool in the future for internet crime. The internet has been around such a small amount of time and we've built such a dependance on it. [editline]10th December 2010[/editline] Think of the people who are being born into the era where internet (LAWL FACEBOOK) is used on a day to day basis for information and communication.
That doesn't really explain how you think you can DDoS trough a proxy, but okay.
Yes it does. What you're talking about is DoS, which can easily be done through a proxy/VPN as long as your packets have a valid target address. DDoS doesn't need a proxy because you aren't using your connection.
They are most definitely taking this way too far. The United States won't give up just for PayPal and Amazon and whatever.
Yes it does. What you're talking about is DoS, which can easily be done through a proxy/VPN as long as your packets have a valid target address.
By using a botnet, wouldn't you use your own connection to participate in a DDoS?
No, you use the connections of your Botnet slaves. All you do is send a packet telling them to get a move on and attack. No actual attacks come from your PC.
No, you use the connections of your Botnet slaves. All you do is send a packet telling them to get a move on and attack. No actual attacks come from your PC.
I mean by joining a botnet, sorry.
I mean by joining a botnet, sorry.
Ah, yeah your post makes slightly more sense now. Yeah if you happen to be part of a botnet, willingly or unwillingly your connection would be used. So long as you aren't the master you are bound to be used in the attack.
I mean by joining a botnet, sorry.
And that's why you don't join a botnet.
DDoS 4chan. Watch them cry. Laugh.
DDoS 4chan. Watch them cry. Laugh.
There would be a few minutes of confusion. Then they would fuck off to another *Chan or a IRC. DDoS'ing one site won't stop them from using the network of sites.
DDoS 4chan. Watch them cry. Laugh.
Anonymous isn't gathering on 4chan, they have their own IRC, which was hosted in the netherlands, untill two days ago when the police raided the hosting.
