Hahaaha no. Now, famines, there were a few of those...
The British did actually try to help alleviate those.
But when you have a subcontinent ruled by 900 civil servants and 70,000 soldiers, this is actually difficult to manage.

Yes and there were a lot more famines beforehand too, just like in all pre-industrial places.
A period of unmatched economic and infrastructural expansion in the Indian subcontinent.
So when my grandfather told me about what the British Raj did to his country, with all that rage in his voice, it was because he missed the economic and infrastructural expansion? :v:

Hmm, I'm no good at math. Mind pulling out that excel spreadsheet you keep on your harddrive where you obessively keep track of all of your racist bell curve bullshit and tell me by what percent Indians are genetically inferior to British people? If we weigh that against net change in GDP we might be able to find out whether it was good or bad...

because a single anecdote is representative of a subcontinent of several hundred million people
From about 1850 to 1900, the "te-rain" with a fare of seven annas was actually really beneficial to India. About 24,000 miles had been laid by 1900, and pretty much helped start an economic, industrial, and cultural revolution in India.
Remember that the British were little better than the preceding rulers, but at least they helped bind it together with railways and telegraphs.

Say what you will about India after the British Raj, but at least it was never incompetent enough to declare Pakistan and Bangladesh to be a single country when both are on opposites sides of the Indian subcontinent.
THAT CERTAINLY DIDN'T LEAD TO ANY CLUSTERFUCKS.

you're the one conflating moral worth with IQ, not me
Well this will surely fuel the immigrant hatred. Going to be a backlash. Multiculturalism and what not does have flaws but this event will really rile up the uneducated.

In 1996, 28% of direct foreign investment (Britain) went to developing countries.
In 1913, it was 63%.
Also in 1997, 5% of the world stock of capital was invested into countries with per capita incomes of 20% or less of US per capita GDP.
In 1913, it is 25%.

Too bad the leftarded cultural marxists are still going to say that these are rare occurencies.
This is becoming not as rare as they think and somebody seriously needs to take a right action in the right moment.
well they are rare occurrences. islam's rot is more subtle and everyday than these "spectacle" events.
:)
I called it being Muslims the moment I saw the the words "beheading" and "machete".
My criteria is accurate 95 percent of the time.

He was actually pretty involved with the protest movements against the British Raj, and was sent to prison because of his involvement in the protests. The, ah, very big movement lead by Gandhi that caused India to split with the British Empire.
What I am trying to say is that not very many actual Indians were happy with the British Raj.

Already has, I took one look at Facebook and saw this:
Fuckin sick fucks man!! Muslim pricks all the fucking same!! R.I.P to the lad!!
Disgusting.
Islam at it's finest as usual, killing a soldier simply because he fights for freedom and justice and is not a muslim.

Negative, common sense and cultural reflection will always give way as long as retards start shouting '~Racists~' every time the evil buzzword word 'minority' is heard.
And after this we still will want to invite every Afghan interpreters into the country for free.
Wait so the guy is saying that because this happens all the time in his country that its ok? Oh and some crap about the government. They need a way to identify these people with violent extremist behaviors and deal with them. Whatever they're doing right now isn't working.

Okay I will try to avoid shouting racist.
But to be perfectly honest
That statement was pretty racist. Just putting that out there.
And after this we still will want to invite every Afghan interpreters into the country for free.
yeah, god forbid we repay those who put their lives and their families lives on the line every day so that they could help our forces in Afghanistan.

They weren't, but to say that India was worse off after the British arrived is very misleading.
At the very least, they banned practices such as the widow burning herself alive on a funeral pyre, got rid of religious sects that strangled people, built infrastructure, invested into the country, and overall promoted economic growth.
Islam at it's finest as usual, killing a soldier simply because he fights for freedom and justice and is not a muslim.
you're a fucking idiot if you think that british soldiers fight for "freedom and justice" or that they ever have or that this somehow represents islam (it wasn't even a fucking religious killing it was a dumb protest about western interventionism)
Okay I will try to avoid shouting racist.

First of all, islam is not a race.
Second of all, pointing out that this particular minority is responsible for a disproportionate amount of crime is not racist, it's a statement of fact.

There is a distinct difference from questioning the validity of extremest cultural identity when it incites violence and encouraging Muslim lynching.
Try again.

First of all, I know it's not a race. It does get treated like a race: speaking as a South Asian with no religion to speak of, it is still intensely awkward to be brown in the Western World sometimes.
Second of all "UGH ISLAM AS USUAL UUUUGH" doesn't strike you as a problematic statement?
