100% the perpetrator gets declared 'insane' and spends 10-15 years in a cell, playing PlayStation all day and eating three lovely meals a day. Afterwards gets set free, given a new name and identity, and gets government money to go on living.
Not only that but he feels he's fulfilled his 'divine duty' and actually done something 'good'. Will he ever feel remorse? Probably not. Does he give a shit? Probably not.

'Muslims' is used as an anonymous term that would most likely conjure up images of long-bearded, robe wearing, brown men who are aggressive and hateful. I would be surprised if any of those people are actually meaning to refer to [I]all[/I] Muslims, I'm sure that many would have Muslim friends without thinking twice about it.
Unfortunately, as is often the case whenever these situations arise, people look for a way to vent their outrage and the word 'Muslim' is the easiest and nearest target.
On a positive note, I've noticed that more and more people are of the immediate opinion that not all 'Muslims' share values with extremists.

Even scientists (who made pretty much everything you see around you possible) don't ever have 100% certainty in anything - in fact - things can only ever be disproved by experimentation. They have reason to believe that something is accurate, so they test that.
You can bounce a ball 10 trillion times, but that still isn't enough times to say that it 100% will bounce if you throw it at the floor again.
Nothing can be proven 100% true, we can however get it pretty fucking accurate, which has allowed us to advance technologically as much as we have. Scientists defend their theories but wait in expectation of a better explanation existing in the future, or even something that disproves it entirely.
So what gives someone the right to believe some totally bat-shit theory and have '100% certainty' in it?
