Didn't the CEO die because he drove one off a cliff or something
Yeah,The CEO(Or someone else high up) drove one off a cliff.
EDIT:
It was Jim Heselden and he didn't invent the segway, but he owned the company.
Screw the Ouya, I want one of those scooters.
Those scooters actually already have a potential replacement. A one wheel bike, I do believe one country already uses them in their Police Force.
The thing about those is that they're small, compact and fairly fast. The police variant is supposed to go as fast as 35 km/h.
I do believe they're called Ryno Bikes.
What is the Ouya again? I vaguely remember the Kickstater getting a shit ton of money.

Its a console that only plays mobile games.
What is the Ouya again? I vaguely remember the Kickstater getting a shit ton of money.
It was a console that was going to be completely online, 100$, Modifiable, and it was doomed from the start with shitty specs.

It lets you play Angry Birds on a TV
It lets you play Android games on a TV
fix'd, and as you can expect, fully touchscreen based games are going to such hard on it.
Still has it's niche though.
To be fair, those cops on tricycle segways count as cops as much as the ouya counts as a gaming console
Everything about the OP image has me in fucking stitches right now
The ice-cream wheely-cart type thing
The police's superfuturistic segway things
fucking hell hahahaha
So, what does the ESA have against Ouya?
One of ouya's highlights was running emulators of other game consoles. The emulators being unlicensed and all it's a massive fucking gray area. I don't think anyone else participating at E3 is happy about that, much less the ESA.
Okay so:
OUYA put stand outside expo hall so people don't have to pay to see it = ESA loses potential money from tickets.
ESA responds by renting parking spaces and semi-trucks to park in front of said stand costing them money.
Corporate logic much??

You really think people with the opportunity to goto E3 thought "Oh, the Ouya is outside and free. I don't think I'll buy a ticket to E3 anymore"?

Uh, I think he was referring to the money that they'd get if OUYA set up a both inside rather then outside...

Right?

Right?
Because everybody at E3 is hyped to see OUYA and not MS/Sony/Nintendo console and game reveals
I forgot the Ouya was going to be at E3.
To be fair, those cops on tricycle segways count as cops as much as the ouya counts as a gaming console
They should rename them to stop embarrassing the actual cops.
Like "Motorized Police Guard", make it atleast sound fancy to compensate for the embarrassment of using such ridiculous things.
oh my fucking god this is sad
like i hate the ouya as a console and i think the kickstarter fortune they summed up is a practical scam, but this is so sad and i feel so bad for them
Okay so:

I'm going to assume the ESA cares less about the money and that the main purpose of their actions was to try and say that you can't just set up a booth in the parking lot during E3. I doubt they care about the ouya at all but are worried that sometime in the future that it will be common to see people set up booths outside during e3. I mean if ouya can pull it off what stops Bobby Kotick from getting a free booth at e3 too.
ESA is acting like a child regarding this.
Why not compete fairly instead?
because afaik you have to have a permit from esa to set up an outdoor event
also because i'm pretty sure they advertised it as ouya at e3, when they hadn't gotten approval from esa to advertise it as being e3
“I honestly don’t mind them taking our Ouya swag either because we can use all the publicity we can get. I mean, imagine an army of homeless people wearing Ouya shirts and getting the public’s attention. But that’s not the point.”
How am I supposed to respond to this? I really have no idea how to...
"Join us @ E3 2013!
You're one e-form away from demoing your game on OUYA at E3."
yeah, they advertised it as being part of e3, when they hadn't dealt with the esa to get it approved.
that's probably why.

The guy who invented the segway actually runs the FIRST robotics competitions
Cool guy.
