I did some research, just to confirm what you said, and I turned up a different report. Apparently he brought the pistols, and the AR-15 into the school, but left a shotgun in his car.

I never even heard he had a saiga 12 with him, that would have been a detail I would have remembered. Just more proof the media is bullshit, I guess.
I knew about the glock, sig, and ar-15 though
Look what happened to New York state, it is borderline that shit.
I don't think the government demolishes your house and takes you for every firearm in New York.
Baby steps. It may not be apparent now but certainly could happen in the future. You take a step forward each time you "ban" something.
Shall not be infringed is pretty obvious.
If I recall, the ban in NY requires you to sell the firearm that breaches their ban with in one year out of state or turn it in, unless it changed.
Yeah. There are conspiracy loonies out there. But to say that the government will never come and take firearms from it's people is wishful thinking. It will happen someday, or attempt to happen. It happened during Hurricane Katrina, for example.
Maybe it's inevitable the way you frame things.

It is inevitable unless you fight back against the anti gun loons, they don't give up.
Like I said before look at that Feinstein cunt shes in her 80s and is still droning on and she's been going on about it since the 1980s

Despite your vitriolic and misogynistic and slightly paranoid language, I would have to say that guns are still going to be around in America for some time, despite the "anti gun loons" and "Feinstein cunt" who somehow have a massive lobby and wield significant political power.

You reassuring me saying "oh there will still be guns" doesn't mean anything. What is that even supposed to mean
"The sole purpose of those AR-15s or AK-47s is to put a lot of lead out on the battlefield quickly, and that's what they do. And that's what they did at Sandy Hook Elementary School on the 14th," Heslin said.
He had the rifle in the car, and shot the kids with two pistols.
I think you're thinking of the Aurora, Colorado shooting.
Looks like a semi .22
Because AWB's are feel good bills that are designed to make soccer moms feel safer when dropping their children off for school.

He was making fun of the media, who after the shooting referred to all AR's as "bushmasters"
I find it funny how the media keeps on calling these AR-15s 'high power assault rifle.' Calling an AR-15 an assault rifle is bit of an exaggeration, but where the hell is 'high power' coming from? No one in the gun industry ever thinks of the AR-15 as high power. It isn't even really the gun itself that's the source of power, it's the cartridge and most in the gun industry would regard 5.56x45 NATO as anemic.
The media just slaps on 'high power' to sound more sensationalist and possible promote an anti-gun agenda.
He's not, there's a lot of separate stories circulating about that shooting. Though if you actually watch the video of police extracting the gun from his trunk it's p. hard to tell exactly what he's pulling out.

At first it looks much too flat to be an AR 15 and the charging handle that the policeman pulls is on the side of the gun, not the top.
Its a shotgun, you can clearly see a 12 gauge shell eject at 7 seconds.
Its a shotgun, you can clearly see a 12 gauge shell eject at 7 seconds.
Agreed, and you can't pump any type of semi automatic, only shotguns.
[editline]28th January 2013[/editline]
Also, why are we worried about guns? Maybe we should look into why this actually fucking happened? A mentally ill man, and a completely wide open school don't mix. I heard school security pop up in a few select things, and mental health was literally only talked about. Banning guns wont fix your fucking problems, it just makes them more complicated.

Not a Saiga. Looks like a standard tube fed semi auto shotgun.

The media probably went with calling it a Saiga because they are AK-47 style shotguns.

That whole thing is confusing and convoluted as fuck.
http://digitaljournal.com/article/340113
First they say they found the rifle in the trunk and only pistols were used, then they say it isn't even a rifle at all and that evidence is being destroyed and mishandled, oh wait now theres claims of 4 handguns.
What
If that is a shotgun it has one of the weirdest stock for a shotgun I have ever seen(Which the shell ejecting looks like a shotgun shell, it is quite large). It looks like one of those skeletonized stocks you'd see on a VSS vintorez or a vepr.
You reassuring me saying "oh there will still be guns" doesn't mean anything. What is that even supposed to mean
That you still get to keep your guns.
You reassuring me saying "oh there will still be guns" doesn't mean anything. What is that even supposed to mean
Even if an AWB is passsed, most AWs will be grandfathered in. It's silly but theres not much that can be done.

Calling an ar-15 an assault rifle isn't an exaggeration. The whole platform was designed to be an assault rifle just at a smaller caliber.
EDIT:
Hold on, when i say smaller caliber i meant something completely wrong. I misread the post thinking he was saying the gun used was firnig a smaller caliber. I mean hell, the gun the ar-15 platform was designed to be a better alternative to the 7.62 AR10 and fire 5.56.
Reminds me of the emails I get from the Obama administration on gun control, they repeatedly call AR 15s assault rifles among other half truths and flat out lies.
[editline]28th January 2013[/editline]
It lacks select fire (full auto/burst) it isn't an assault rifle regardless of the design it was originally derived from.
Well when its semi automatic yes but i was talking about the platform as a whole.
EDIT:
Also i'm fully aware you can get it chambered in the military rounds. I the poster was originally going off the caliber it fires. There are people i know who love to insist that any real assault rifle would fire a round bigger than 5.56. Even though there are assault rifles that fire even smaller rounds.
Well when its semi automatic yes but i was talking about the platform as a whole.
By that logic all pistols must be assault weapons too because many brands that use the same platform have full-auto/select fire various of the same pistol platform. Glock 18, Beretta 93R, etc.
Just because it has the looks of an assault rifle does not make it on. By that logic a Ruger 10/22 with a G36 style conversion kit (Makes it look like the G36) it must be an assault weapon right?
If that is a shotgun it has one of the weirdest stock for a shotgun I have ever seen(Which the shell ejecting looks like a shotgun shell, it is quite large). It looks like one of those skeletonized stocks you'd see on a VSS vintorez or a vepr.
Looks like it might be an M4 style stock.

Well that's just dumb.
They'd be machine pistols then because they still fire typical pistol cartridges.
Don't be silly.
Oh someone doesn't like sarcasm. Note taken.
Ugh you said that calling AR 15s assault rifles isn't an exaggeration. What he should have said is "You should ban all X weapons because B weapons in the same family are of as weapons B which are of a different classification and have features that A lacks.
By your logic calling this a machine pistol isn't exaggeration (which it isn't, it's a misnomer)
[t]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/61/M9-pistolet.jpg[/t]
Because this happens to be in the same family.

First things first. By "he" i assume you mean me. I'm against this ban. Also your example is messed up honestly because it can't understand it at all.
Secondly what i said about machine pistols was more of me being facetious. Hence "don't be silly".
Thirdly. The ar-15 is an assault rifle, civillian ar-15's by technicality are not since they lack the burst/full automatic features and are just carbines/rifles at that point.
Fourthly i already admitted above that i misread the post and went off on some tangent that really lead nowhere. I'm not BACKTRACKING :O! I admitted i made a mistake due to bad reading.
[editline]29th January 2013[/editline]
IF by "he" you meant cqbcat. Ignore the first thing i said.
[editline]29th January 2013[/editline]
actually now that im thinking even more about it i only admitted i was wrong about the caliber which wasn't an issue at all here.
Looks like it might be an M4 style stock.

Re-watch it, it has a wood stock, all one piece. I mean it could be a 10/22 with an ATI stock, but that isn't wood. At about 13 seconds he holds the gun over at its side and it appears to be a skeletonized stock, I forget the exact name right now it eludes me.
My crappy tracing skills, it comes out clearer in the video. It looks shitty since I screen capped it and such.
By "He" I meant MR-X.
It's definitely not a 10/22. He ejects a very large red round. Red is the mandated color for 12 gauge shells.

It's definitely a tube fed shotgun, probably a Remington 1100. Here is a photo of my old one:

Which is what stumped me, the stock is pretty unique is all I am saying. Fair point though. In all likely hood it is a boomstick with a nice custom stock on it.
