should be "holy fuckflamingly good"
[editline]21st February 2011[/editline]
or "dats sum goooood chickin"
KFC in Canada switched to non-hydrogenated trans-fat-free oil a long time ago and it made their food taste better, so everyone in this thread telling the healthy types to stop trying to change their KFC are wrong. It went from tasting like a greasy mess to honest-to-goodness fried chicken.
That is an opinion, anyway
That is an opinion, anyway
yes but it is a very sound opinion
chicken fried without trans-fats tastes so much better you wouldn't even believe it. KFC doesn't use partially-hydrogenated oils because it makes the chicken taste better, they use it because it increases the shelf life of the chicken, congealing it into a mass unassailable by mold, the wear of time, or any of those other things that are indicative of real-ass food
Son of a bitch, I used to work at Ruby Tuesday who held the "so good" slogan since its opening. Now that the company is crashing down, KFC stole it :argh:
This isn't anything new, at least in Canada the slogan has been, "so good" for a year now. Terrible slogan.

I was under the impression that they didn't really have a slogan in Canada, just a lot of short phrases printed entirely in lower case letters all over the packaging in english and french
KFC is slightly healthier (like 0.1%) now that they stopped cooking with Transfats
KFC is slightly healthier (like 0.1%) now that they stopped cooking with Transfats
Trans-fats are pretty much the worst thing you can put in your body that is still allowed in food so it's hugely better for you now
i like how on an internet forum people cry about food being unhealthy - it's not meant to be healthy it's meant to be an occasional thing you enjoy
i like how on an internet forum people cry about food being unhealthy - it's not meant to be healthy it's meant to be an occasional thing you enjoy
How exactly is making it healthier detrimental
This isn't anything new, at least in Canada the slogan has been, "so good" for a year now. Terrible slogan.
Same in Australia
How exactly is making it healthier detrimental
Well what you define as tasting better is purely subjective, every once in a while i like to indulge in something horribly unhealthy. That is how i roll, it doesn't happen often. I haven't eaten at McDonalds in months and KFC even longer than that, but when i do i expect it to be greasy, salty and downright unhealthy.
You say it tastes better but again that is a matter of opinion. KFC isn't something i eat every day, or week or even month for that matter. I like it just the way it was.
I think this slogan would bring in a lot more customers:

First the Grilled Chicken now this. I could handle the grilled chicken, but this, this is Crossing the Line.
KFCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's probably just a way to get some media attention since no one really discusses it anymore.
I dunno bout you but I would eat anything with rape in the name
Like Triple rape burger
or Rapefries
Am I the only one who thinks the new slogan is a bit, you know, existential?
Like they're implying that KFC is the only way to happiness or something.

but "unhealthy" isn't a taste. if they can make it healthier without changing the taste, or even make it taste better, there really shouldn't be any objections. KFC one of the biggest chains in a massive multinational food corporation. they have batteries of taste testers and focus groups, basically people like you they pay to criticize their food. considering the fact that there isn't any legislative pressure on them, if removing trans fats made the food taste noticeably worse they wouldn't be doing it.
plus this whole "if it's healthier then it must taste worse" mentality is bizarre i mean i have no idea where that could possibly come from
They started marketing to black people also apperantly.

Of course they market to black people, black people are a substantial demographic.
About the people? Who gives a damn about them, I go there to eat.
I didn't even know they had a slogan

Well have you ever tried it cooked with the newer recipe?
I don't think they started using it in America yet.
"So good"
How fucking original. Hope they paid the guys that came up with that slogan a hefty sum, must have taken a lot of work to generate that.
There's this restaurant near to where I live with the slogan "It's Pig Lickin' Good".
It's called Humphrey Pete's. :v:
Ugh, seeing people lick their fingers makes me want to slap them in the back of the head for being disgusting
OH GOD I MUST SAVOR THE REST OF THE OIL ON MY FINGERS even though like 90% of that oil or grease that you're licking has been contaminated with the germs that were previously on your fingers.
Wash your hands you freak

What is stopping you? Don't have it where you live?
does it really matter
80% of the time I forget KFC even has a slogan
It's been like this in Australia for a while now
