Best way to beat a raging fire is to dig a mile long trench, fill them up with water or mud. Fire can't cross water trenches. You know what, I thnk you guys need to build water trenches or a moat near your towns. A water canal would be fine too.

Sometimes I really hate living in Australia. Victoria had a similar bush fire a couple years ago and we were all ready to evacuate our homes. The fires were literally just outside town. Scary shit. Condolences for all the people involved in this one
