What does race have to do with this again
OP is a white supremacist only explanation
SRIV is absolutely insane.
SRV will be totally unpercievable by mortal beings, as its non-euclidian geometry will cause those of feeble mind to boggle and go insane with horror at the incrediblity of its wackiness. This is not a bug, but a feature.
SR4 was pretty damn funny all throughout, not gonna lie. The whole game is pretty much built out of references, and they're all pretty funny and well-done. The gameplay is just really lacking and isn't as fun as previous titles. Would not pay $60 for but maybe $30.
GTA 5 I'm getting hopefully at launch, simply because it's the next in my favorite game series and what they've showed gameplay-wise just looks utterly amazing. I'm no doubt going to put many many hours into this game.

He believes that only minorities can be in gangs.
not really it'll just be more childish, over the top humor
Nope. They're probably going tabula rasa and destroy the canon of the first four games with an entire tone shift.
I think I posted this topic in an overly disagreeable manner. But people agree that the missions in GTA 4 that half consisted of driving across the city while some character that you don't care about yammers at you was a bad thing, right? I'm not alone on that, right?
Even after I modded fucking FLYING CARS into the game, it STILL frustrated me how far you had to go from the start of some missions to get to where the mission actually took place. If GTA 5 is as big as they say, they CAN'T do that again.
Although far-fetched, I have this funny feeling that sometime in the future, an article will emerge with a title like, "Police using Grand Theft Auto V as reference to identify gang member dialogue to crack down on gang activity" or something funny like that
wtf, why is this bad
op you are dumb
If you want goofy, play Saints Row.
GTA decided to take a more serious, but still fun approach to their series, while Saints Row took a goofy take.
We have two crime-based sandbox games, one serious and one goofy.
Both are great fun. Just take your pick.
Is Saint's Row even crime-based anymore? From what I've seen of 4, it's basically about being the super-powered president and punching aliens.

wow its like im reading a kotaku article or something
wow its like im reading a kotaku article or something
sorry if this is your wakeup call but most video game writing teams aren't composed of ex-cons and gang affiliates who clawed their way up from the mean streets of detroit and into a comfortable position as chief dialogue writer for rockstar games
What the fuck are you doing R*? I had high hopes for this game and now it looks like you're sucking even more of the soul out of the GTA franchise.
Quit bitching. 90% of character dialogue in GTA IV was designed to make the player think "Fuck me, these guys are idiots, I'm surprised Niko doesn't just kick their asses.
I'm sure the satirical elements of the Grand Theft Auto series will remain intact in their next game. Besides, the 'soul' you'e crying about was always in the open-world, sandbox gameplay, which, to all appearances, they've improved by taking it to a level we've never seen before. Not in how serious the characters are.
wtf, why is this bad

I'm kind of afraid of losing the goofiness of the previous GTA games
the quotes I quoted suggested that they might do that
I have nothing against rehabilitating gang members by offering them paying jobs
please don't judge me

Well, you do still murder countless of people.
Though it takes place in a simulation so I don't even know if that counts...
Saints Row 4 confuses the fuck out of me and it really isn't very good. Funny as a motherfucker, though.
I think the way they develop GTA games is smart. Playing the story and doing normal things, generally you're met with a serious experience (with some funny stuff here and there like a silver lining) but then you just run around and hop on bikes and planes and it's crazy junk 24/7.
Don't know why it got so many dumbs.

for gang members at the most
Theres no doubt at all that they'll still add some hilarious lines for peds
GTA V will sell millions whether you guys like it or not.
are you fucking serious there are handheld miniguns, tanks, jet fighters, and people driving jeeps out the back of transport planes is that not "goofy" enough for you????
No
I want my homeless people ranting about spies in the toilets and bystanders saying things like "CHEESY VAGINAS!"
That's part of the GTA experience for me, I don't want them to take that away
After GTA 4 and Max Payne 3 I'm starting to feel like Rockstar's games are just excuses for their horrible writing team to stroke their massive dick egos. They think they're great writers but writing dialog is all they know how to do. Since the reviewers gave them so much positivity for their "oscar quality writing" in GTA 4 I'm not totally confident that GTA 5 won't have the beginning of most of the missions be driving the car halfway across the city while listening to some peripheral character's verbal diarrhea.
what was wrong with Max Payne 3
and I swear to god if you say "IT WASN'T NOIR ENOUGH" i will fist you
i feel as if max payne wasn't noire enough, i dont know about you guys

It either took itself way too seriously or was so incredibly subtle in its self awareness that it was indistinguishable from taking itself way too seriously.
can you guys stop please
please
holy shit I am getting fucking bombed for this topic

how will you even go on living now, the shame is too great
GTA V will sell millions, possibly billions, whether you guys like it or not.
It won't sell billions, that's just silly considering that the total combined sales of the PS3 and 360 is 1.4bn and that's presumably taking replacement consoles into account as well.
arguing about a video game is my favorite thing to do

dude, they only thing this changes in gta would be the gangsters will not be all like "I'm going to bust a cap in your ass, homeslice etc.", there's still plenty of space for the dialog to be crazy but still accurate.
i'd buy a dlc that changes all the enemy dialogue into shitty stereotypical nonsense
If the lines were written that would make sense.
But voiced over? Not really.
Dude.
You SERIOUSLY think Rockstar has removed all traces of funny dialogue from every ped in the game just because they decided to get real gang members to voice the gang members?
I honestly can't tell if you're trolling or just stupid.
