• Another satellite set to fall to Earth this weekend; 1.6 tonnes of debris to survive re-entry

This is a good way to enact a terrible attack on a different country, put a gigantic satellite in space and then let it reenter and fall, except instead of it being destroyed, it is guided towards a big city in a rival country and you won't get in trouble because it was an accident!
Duck and cover kids.
If it hits my car, does insurance cover that?
I see they were using the most sophisticated math and computing power possible to mark the landing zone.
Ha, where I live is just above the affected zone.
OH YEAH OH YEAH, GET KILLED BY A SPACE TOILET. I'M READY BABY!
If it hits land, lets say, some random plains, what would be the damage exactly? And in a city?.
How funny would it be if it hit a supertanker.
Oh for fuck's sake, with the computing power they have you'd think they could narrow that down to at least one continent. As in this joke here: http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/397769/september-22-2011/defunct-satellite-hurtles-toward-earth
You can't figure it out till the last few hours, I think NASA managed to predict its satellites rough touch down area a few hours before it came down. I hope it doesn't land on me, that would just ruin my day. Landing in my back garden would be exciting though.
I hope it doesn't fall on Valve's servers.
I hope it doesn't fall on Valve's servers.
Good fucking job It's now going to.
well im safe, for now
I'm just out of range.
I'm being safe so hard right now
I hope it lands on Activision HQ.
It will land in Akihabara
It would just be easier to just highlight all inhabited areas on earth then say the satellite could hit here! then you just start pulling numbers out of your ass to calm people.
Well, knowing Japans luck lately...
Guys, they can't predict it more or less accurate because the athmospher doesn't continuously stay in the same place. Just as water, it forms waves at the edge of the athmosphere, and thus the satellite can hit it earlier or later. It's really unpredictable, unless you have a thousand satellitest looking over the edge of earth's athmosphere with radar and cartograph every single air-"hill".
I hope it lands on EA Customer Support. I hate those assholes.
aww shit yeah, I'm just outside the expected range.
Hmmm. So what is the closest possible time they will estimate the RTE?
I hope it doesn't fall on Valve's servers.
No doubt it'll hit the Prject Zomboid's guys house, and the backups too.
I hope the fragments hit those people who use HTML tags in email signatures.
Well, knowing Japans luck lately...
NO! Don't say that! I have family there :(
Fucking Scandinavian cunts have beaten us all again, how do they do it?
I'll be in Manchester enjoying all my "Sattelites-not-falling-on-my-head". However there is a downside of course, i'll be in Manchester.
I hope it lands on all of the U.S republican senators
Why can't the American Government just shoot a missile at it with one of its big-ass missiles? That is usually its answer to everything, and this is one of the few times it could work. I mean, they have shot down a satellite before.
Why bother? It's just going to land in the ocean.
Yeah you're right, the media probably blew the situation out of proportion. Still, it would be an awesome video to watch.
