This feels like pandering, because old and existing for more than 40 years characters are suddenly replaced by something straight out of Tumblr., with shitty explanation how it happened. It was alright with John Stewart Lantern, as he is a co-existant with other ones, and actually had a character development about him suddenly getting so much power. Wonder Woman radical feminism was a bit out of place, but worked well, with her being Amazonian and all. Characters exchange mantles all the time. And, of course, it can happen to get to anyone. But EVERY time it is either a minority, or woman. Which would be fine, if they didn't try to replace existing heroes with them. Remember 90's with Death of Superman and Knightfall? When DC tried to do the same, just for the sake of new edgy characters, not new "sjw-approved" ones? Now barely anyone remembers Steel, and Azriel got demoted to background character of Batman comics, because people didn't like their heroes being replaced just like that.
