At this point I'm getting a feeling that these people literally jerk off to their country's average temperature.
It's like it's the closest thing they have to a superpower, they can handle heat better, stellar stuff to them.
I honestly can't be british... i'm fine at these temperatures but at anything below 8C it feels like my extremities are going to drop off. And to add to that I live on a mountain in Wales where it's freezing rain most of the time Anyway, why is everyone still moaning about the heat? Acclimatisation takes weeks at max so it's not much of an excuse anymore
and by the end of the year when we'll be getting news about how britain is dying due to snowfall, all northerners will brag about how they have more snow.
Of course we're shit at dealing with our own weather, why do you think we "colonised" so many places?
Okay, okay, it was just a joke. I know what acclimatization is, and I know that this is a pretty brutal heat wave for a country that is used to being cold and rainy 360 days of the year. God damn, you guys really get sensitive when the colonials make fun of you. And for the record, manual labor in a 108F building literally made me feel like I was about to die. I never, ever want to do anything like that again. Fuck heat.
Its funny because most of the US is under an "Excessive Heat Warning" and some places have simply ran dry of water.
A HEAT ADVISORY MEANS THAT A PERIOD OF HOT TEMPERATURES IS EXPECTED. THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY WILL COMBINE TO CREATE A SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE POSSIBLE. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS... STAY IN AN AIR CONDITIONED ROOM... STAY OUT OF THE SUN... AND CHECK UP ON RELATIVES AND NEIGHBORS. TO REDUCE RISK DURING OUTDOOR WORK... THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDS SCHEDULING FREQUENT REST BREAKS IN SHADED OR AIR CONDITIONED ENVIRONMENTS.
Hey you guys I live on the sun, you all don't know what heat is. I have to wait until night before I can even go outside.
it's in every fucking thread and it gets boring after a while
why are people from the uk so sensitive about your weather <insert obligatory statement about how hot it is where i live>

just because you're all used to lower temperatures doesn't mean you'll melt at 30 degrees celsius. the human body can adapt pretty well to temperature, as long as you aren't really young or really old. you guys need to drink more water and stop complaining. it's not like you've been born at the north pole where it's minus all year round and you're shipped to africa at +50 celsius.
Check your acclimatisation, low-latitude scum
the sensation you get at 30 degrees is not life threatening. it's like first time sex, it's weird and you get used to it. [editline]17th July 2013[/editline] dam broke my automerge
We've had a heatwave in Ontario/Quebec this last week too, 34 degrees feeling like 45 with humidex. My work makes me wear pants, not allowed shorts, which is fine in the office but hell waiting for the subway on a platform with no AC. I still don't get the British's aversion to getting AC, the climate there is on average warmer than here, and AC is a common sight on windowsills here in the summer. Granted we don't really get spring anymore, summer starts in May and goes until October nowadays.

it is relevant to the thread [editline]17th July 2013[/editline] well moreso than most posts in sh [editline]17th July 2013[/editline] oh I thought you were replying to commie
God damn, you guys really get sensitive when the colonials make fun of you.

why are people from the uk so sensitive about your weather <insert obligatory statement about how hot it is where i live>
At first it was annoying because it was a retarded thing to say, now it's annoying because it's both a retarded thing to say and said in every single thread involving British weather. Seriously, run a search. Most other crap that hit this level of repost-ness has become a bannable offence by this point; remember "convert them to communism"? (User was banned for this post ("Backseat moderation" - verynicelady))
it's in every fucking thread and it gets boring after a while
People do it cause you react to it. One person makes a witty comment and you have 30 brits replying to it in rage. It's sorta funny to watch.
I live in the solar corona get on my level
That's like sweater weather over here on Alpha Camelopardalis.
Because obviously if you can tolerate high temperatures, everyone in Britain should have to suck it up. You do know that children have died due to hyperthermia, right?
Acclimatisation or not, drink some fucking water and you won't die. We play sports in this heat, I do not understand how a child could die in this weather. I get it, it feels hotter than what it really is but that's no excuse for kids to fucking die.

Why do you spearhead every operation to whine and complain about other users making fun of you for freaking out about weather that's 30 C. It only takes a few weeks to acclimate to temperatures. This is coming from someone who moved to the UAE from the USA and lived there for a few months. So yeah. I have experience with acclimation and I'm not one of those fucks like Used Car Salesman that likes to flop his wiener on a table for everyone to see. "Look lmfao I had to work in hot weather!!!1!!"
People do it cause you react to it. One person makes a witty comment and you have 30 brits replying to it in rage. It's sorta funny to watch.
In that case whoever posts that shit first should be banned for trolling, since that's what you described just now
Ahahaha. I spent last summer working in a warehouse that hit 108F during the heat wave. Do British people melt at that temperature just like their roads?
lol what a mong still having to work when it's that hot hahahah
I am lucky, I work in a factory. But it's an ice cream factory. I literally eat ice cream until I puke, and I work in a giant freezer.
isn't this basically what happens in most if not all mediterranean countries? ie. they work slightly earlier and later but they have a 2-3 hour break in the middle of the day when it starts to exceed 30°? seems very reasonable to me

I'm also someone who tends to post quite a lot in threads revolving around issue which effect me. Do you see the connection? As for my "spearheading ever operation to whine and complain", I'm merely telling people when they're being stupid. It's not my fault that so many people are so consistently stupid about one particular thing.
