Actually if you talked to girls about that sort of stuff you find that quite a few of them get a kick out of stuff like that
that doesn't mean the expectation of women to act that way is healthy. i'm not saying it's wrong if two people want to play rough, their sex shouldn't be anyone's concern. my problem is the idea that children are being exposed to incredibly demeaning sex and it might make them think that this should be the norm, that women are meant to act submissively to men. [editline]15th February 2013[/editline] it creates an unfair and dangerous view of not just sex, but gender relations as a whole.
I'm sure those women all went on to get meaningful jobs where they made even more money to support their children and families! sigh
It's Iceland They probably got more money on unemployment than from their skeevy strip club jobs [editline]15th February 2013[/editline]
I've always felt that porn objectifies men just as much as women. In the weird alternate universe that is the setting of all porn, it seems like the only thing about a guy that matters is the size of his dick. You almost never see the guy's face, and when you do it's considered a bad thing.
Aside from niche porn, men are the dominant party in porn that has both a man and a woman That's not objectification, it's a power fantasy.
Parents out there, SafeEyes by McAfee and AVG Family Safety are amazing pieces of software...get one, learn to use it. No its not absolutely perfect but its damn close at getting all the websites and subjects you want to block. You can even monitor what they spend their time doing outside of the internet. TLDR - Don't ruin it for everyone because you cant keep shit out of your childrens hands.
Okay so if a kid watches porn, all it does is make him realize sex is a thing like 6 years earlier, max. Friends don't just go over to friends and say "hey wanna jack off and watch some porn??"
It's the way that porn showcases sex. Many argue that it shows a wholly negative and impersonal side to sex.
i live in iceland and this is the first i ever heard of this
i live in iceland and this is the first i ever heard of this
you poor soul :(
Oh look, sensationalist news from the Dailymail. This isn't going to go through, Ögmundur doesn't have enough support, as well he shouldn't.
I'm sure those women all went on to get meaningful jobs where they made even more money to support their children and families! sigh
It's really inexpensive to get a good education and help from the government here, nobody is really near the poverty level where they'd be forced to either pole dance or starve.
so parenting in Iceland includes letting your child roam the internet unsupervised?? WHAT A GREAT CULTURE!!
I know right!
women are enticed to join a profession that degrades them and turns them into sexual objects.
Definitely going to need some citations for this statement.
But isn't it what the audience wants?
I hope not, I sure don't. It's very hard to find porn that isn't rapey and gross. [editline]16th February 2013[/editline]
Definitely going to need some citations for this statement.
If you're attractive I'm pretty sure you can get a job as a stripper with absolutely no other qualifications. If they have nowhere else to turn and decide to do it because if that, that sucks.
It's very hard to find porn that isn't rapey and gross.
Really. Porn is a very broad spectrum of fetishes and services.
Stupid parents don't supervise, good parents do. But banning porn in Iceland won't do anything as people can still use proxies to get to porn. And there'll be increased rape most likely.
My parents never supervised my actions on the Internet. I am sitting in the internet for 7 years(since 10), and they did a good job at not fucking my upbringing up. Just because there are little retards who cant tell apart Virtual and real lives doesnt mean it works for everyone the same, you twat.
Uhhh right... Neither did mine.
Then you are either calling your parents stupid or contradicting your statement.
Then you are either calling your parents stupid or contradicting your statement.
Whoopsie.
Well I knew about the strip clubs being banned and shit but they're trying to block internet porn? Are they like.. Retarded? But from what I hear; no worries, these won't become laws, seeing how Ögmundur and his group is leaderless and voting's in April. So with that said, Iceland's going to be filled with joy, porn and all that stuff. You can stop worrying about Iceland actually censoring itself. =) [sp]One of my first sexual related videos seen on the internet was meatspin back in 2nd or 3rd grade shown to me by my best friend at the time[/sp]
