I definitely love Nuclear Family off that album so far.
Listened to Green Day when I was a kid. I think i would like this as a kid.
The drummer's stage name is Tré Cool. Its a pun.
ah, see I wasn't familiar with the names of all the band members. otherwise I wouldn't have been so protective of the language
Since when is this type of behavior considered a meltdown for musicians, specifically rock musicians?
let's say you're working at wal-mart and you get a new manager. you check your schedule during work and you find out that your hours have been cut pretty severely, so you start screaming "I HAVE BEEN HERE SINCE TWO THOUSAND AND FUCKING NINE. YOU'RE GONNA FUCKING GIVE ME 28 FUCKING HOURS? I'LL GIVE YOU 28 FUCKING HOURS!" and slam the cash register into the ground. is that an appropriate reaction?
I'd be delighted if I got less hours shelfstacking. Been working 3x my contract hours for the last 2 months.
they fucking cut his performing time in half so usher could perform his even shittier music
he was entitled to everything he said, I would be fucking pissed too
Nirvana used to break their instruments when they didnt want to play annymore.
The crowd loves it and they cant play annymore.

Yeah it was pretty tame; he didn't even look drug fueled
Wow, the aftermath of this.
Rock and roll is pretty dead man.
goddamn it
that was fucking cool green day
you idiots

rock and roll is no longer culturally relevant. it has more or less accomplished what it set out to do
The only time i ever found guitar smashing awesome is when a band does their final song/encore, not when they are throwing a temper tantrum (gonna get boxed).
yeah so i was pretty much right when i said that he was acting like an asshole, and part of that was due to drug abuse and intoxication
and what do i get for it? angry PM's telling me to kill myself, thanks a lot FP
they're canceling some of their performances too.

it's considered a meltdown when drugs are involved.
i mean we can talk about the merits of drugs all we want, but Jimi ultimately died before his prime due to Rock's weird fascination with drugs.
"The singer launched a foul-mouthed tirade at the end of the band's gig in Las Vegas gig on September 21. Believing that the band only had one minute of their slot remaining, Armstrong yelled"

How can they deny what the video has shown?
you're just wildly assuming that the screen, saying "one minutes" (sic) meant they had one minute left in their set.

note that the original source saying that "their set was cut short for Usher!" was Gawker

This makes me so sad. So much great stuff is no longer "culturally relevant." :(

I don't think they are cancelling them themselves, but the record label is.
chances are they have to cancel dates because their frontman is in rehab? that will set back their schedule a great deal, particularly considering the albums they're planning on releasing and the tours being scheduled around that
I call bullshit on the drugs part and the set being the right amount of time, they were slotted for 11:05 and they got pushed back to 11:30 just so usher and rihanna could "play" more of their songs.
I bet this is all a publicity stunt.

ahh i see, did they say which are beig.cancelled? kinda bullshut they are doing that over thjs
anyone that thinks or says that Green Day apologized because they had to does not understand that they are one of the largest touring acts in the US and worldwide, and have no incentive to "make friends" or apologize if they were not actually in the wrong.
"Is it possible no one in management bothered to tell Green Day ahead of time they had a half-hour slot, just like (almost) every other headliner on the bill? Not likely. (Although it was being spun within hours on Gawker, Perez Hilton, and other websites that the band's set had been "cut short by 20 minutes" because Usher went over—not true.)"
Though there is circumstantial evidence that could be used to give credence to the idea that someone would need to cut their set short , every night of the festival after this went long without anyone else having their set "cut short" due to others going over their time, and the festival has so much to lose by cutting off ANY artist on this festival. I'd looove to see sources saying that they gave Green Day less time than what is stated on their contract. That's grounds for a lawsuit.
I'm not sure what happened exactly, I'll talk to some insiders tomorrow and see if I can get any real facts out of this. So far the only source on any of this is a youtube video and Gawker's typical outrageous claims.
haha you're an idiot
nope i'm not the idiot, the people who were applauding a drunk douche based on bullshit 2nd-hand information were the idiots

Gotta say it but I think everyone in the other thread applauding him probably didn't think about what was actually happening hard enough
