Star Wars Episode VIII's official title: The Last Jedi - Polidicks

Right, now that half the world already guessed that Luke dies and Rey becomes "the last Jedi", I eagerly await seeing Disney not be a bunch of cowards and actually pull a twist that will shock us all. Not that I watch the movies, I just enjoy the drama that surrounds them.

Seriously just don't kill off Luke. Because that's really fucking lazy and obvious and we don't even have Carrie Fisher left to compensate.

A bit boring. It basically conveys the same idea as "Return of the Jedi".

Jedi can be plural. So it could just mean a group of jedi. Luke + Rey, maybe even Kylo Ren with that red border. Snoke could be a big enough threat and make Kylo become an anti-hero.

There's so much that could go horribly wrong with this next installment.

Curious because this title was made up since he wrote the script (contradicting the other rumors that say otherwise, that they didn't come up with a title). I love Rian Johnson's bunch of work, Looper is one of my favourite films but I have to leave my expectations for this movie very ambiguous until it comes out because as much as I like rian's direction, he has done very few films, but at the same time you can clearly see he's got his own style on his movies and I love that, he must be that guy that has prepared his own idea-contender and is ready to show new things at cinema. This can be backed by the development time of this movie and the fact that the creative control is there, it's not like your Disney production in which everyone is involved into... not fucking this up. I see a JJ Abrams film on The Force Awakens (even on how much do they take the Star Wors reference dumpster) as much as in every other movie of his career, and I believe in the same thing for The Ultimate Jedi of Destiny. That case of creative control in Ep.7 could have happened because it was a collab between BAD ROBOT and 'Lucasfilm'. Go Rian

They refer to all 9 movies as the Skywalker Saga, so there needs to be at least one Skywalker for that to work.
