Enforcing high trade tariffs would be a start
yeah it would also probably cripple america in the long term
what better way to remove itself as a trade superpower
alright bets now
how many of these things will actually get done
Well republicans control both houses of congress as well so ... maybe should be asking what won't get done
Enforcing high trade tariffs would be a start
I believe that would just cost both the American and Mexican government money and there would be nothing for the wall.
I dont think Trump will get a cent from Mexico for this wall.
* SECOND, a hiring freeze on all federal employees to reduce federal workforce through attrition (exempting military, public safety, and public health);

* THIRD, a requirement that for every new federal regulation, two existing regulations must be eliminated;

* FIRST, I will announce my intention to renegotiate NAFTA or withdraw from the deal under Article 2205

* THIRD, cancel all federal funding to Sanctuary Cities

Repeal and Replace Obamacare Act. Fully repeals Obamacare and replaces it with Health Savings Accounts, the ability to purchase health insurance across state lines, and lets states manage Medicaid funds. Reforms will also include cutting the red tape at the FDA: there are over 4,000 drugs awaiting approval, and we especially want to speed the approval of life-saving medications.
WHAT
I expect the wall to go like closing Guantanamo Bay.
He might sign an executive order but nobody is going to allocate funds for it. The best he can hope for is an increase in the border patrol's budget and he'll say "at the end of the day, it's the brave men and women on the ground, not a wall that gets the job done!" to save face
I'm extremely curious to see how this will turn out over the next four years even though the answer's right in front of my face and it's not pretty.
There's a few that make sense like reducing corruption, making it easier for the FDA to approve drugs, etc. But lowering tax on corporations doesn't give them an incentive to raise wages, just makes it easier to hoard money like they already are. And don't get me started on 'clean coal'
All I asked was how the wall will work and how its going to be paid for. I dont believe im overreacting.
As for how it's paid for, Trump has never gone into detail himself, but from what I've gathered from people who support him
1) Stop giving aid to Mexico: The aid we give is no where near the most conservative cost projection of the wall itself which doesn't even include maintenance, personnel, etc.
2) Stop trading with Mexico and use the trade deficit to cover costs: See above
3) Steal remittances: Would be an absolute legal clusterfuck, but it's been done before. Would actually pay for the wall if you ignore the legal and moral implications.
4) Maintain trade with Mexico, institute tarriffs: Mexico will simply find more lucrative trade deals elsewhere. It's possible that the trade that still goes to the US would generate enough revenue to pay for the yearly costs of the wall though.
Be prepared for Corporate America 2.0, Version Trump.
He's making Citizens United the law of the land and letting corporations rule everything.
If that was your primary goal in not electing Clinton
good job you did the opposite we now live in bizaro world.
Wait, in Bizaro World, everything is the opposite.
So the things that Trump has been saying... *rainbow goes here*

* THIRD, a requirement that for every new federal regulation, two existing regulations must be eliminated;
We elected a 15 year old to be president of the United States.
"Third: two Federal Regulations will be removed for each new Federal Regulation. The First and Second Federal Regulations are retroactively removed.
Sixth: A special committee on Federal Regulations will be formed according to rules outlined in the Seventh and Eighth Federal Regulations.
Ninth: Due to the removal of the First, Second, Fourth, and Fifth Federal Regulations, the Third and Sixth regulations become the First and Second and are henceforth removed."
He's going to pay for it out of America's pocket, attempt to get it from mexico (and fail), and then cut off all foreign aid to mexico to make it back, which will take
25 billion dollars to build the wall = $51.5 million in aid per year * 485 years
FOUR HUNDRED AND EIGHTY FIVE YEARS TO MAKE THE MONEY BACK
If the wall happens, this is how it will happen.
My prediction is that a more toned down border security bill will speed through Congress and it will be Trump's "Mission Accomplished" moment as immigration continues to decline at the same rate it did previously.
Enforcing high trade tariffs would be a start
The only reason the US can afford to be as nice to live in as it is is because of the lack of tariffs, they make us COMPARATIVELY wealthy.
If we enforce tariffs, all other countries will lay down tariffs on us.
Enjoy your 10 dollar apple in 2 years you ignorant fuck.
It's looks like your regular pork barrel, I doubt they will actually do at least half of this shit.
Not everything is bad, obviously the anti-climate change policy is the biggest hit and the wall which will stand as nothing more than a monument to stupidity.
I like the term limits and reduction of lobbying.
christ he's actually going through the shit that lets drug companies get through FDA easier
one of his potential secretary members
One longer shot would be Rich Bagger, executive director of the Trump transition team and a former pharmaceutical executive who led, behind closed doors, many of the meetings this fall with health care industry donors and executives.

WHAT
that last one, lets skip all the testing for drugs. fuck it, if it kills over thousands of people who gives a shit.
Enforcing high trade tariffs would be a start
Great idea! let's enforce tarriffs, so they don't trade with us at all
Look up the Laffer curve... And that's only for returns from the tax itself. This doesn't even include the dead weight loss that will result from the diminished trade.
Not that I'd expect a fucking trump supporter to know anything at all about economics.
What does this mean?
Can someone explain the school choices part? I'm not sure I follow what it is meant to achieve/how.
Enforcing high trade tariffs would be a start
So uhhh...ever done any research on how economies work by any chance? Because trade tariffs are generally pretty disastrous as artificially inflating the prices of things, wouldn't you know it, stifles trade super fucking hard.
It's looks like your regular pork barrel, I doubt they will actually do at least half of this shit.
you can be sure that because of a republican house and senate, the bad stuff in there will go through, and the good stuff will not. I don't have a problem with a ban on congressmen becoming lobbyists for 5 years, or foreign lobbyists at all. That's fine by me. However I doubt it will go through. However, cancelling all climate change policies I have no doubt will go through.
Can someone explain the school choices part? I'm not sure I follow what it is meant to achieve/how.
Rich people get to pick charter schools, poor people get whatever scraps are left, if any.
God, again with the wall stuff. That shit will be such a flop.
And considering the Peso is tanking, good luck getting Mexico to pay for it.
Rich people get to pick charter schools, poor people get whatever scraps are left, if any.
How is such a change being implemented? Is it changing funding to public education, or changing some sort of restrictions on schooling?
How is such a change being implemented? Is it changing funding to public education, or changing some sort of restrictions on schooling?
I imagine they will probably revise the application process for Charter Schools to somehow incorporate and prioritize "Student Choice" over other things like random lotteries. Outside of, say, specific cases like charter schools, homeschooling, or gifted students, I don't really see school choice being an issue of notable importance for most parents.
I have no idea about how politics work, but is anything on his current checklist a good thing? Term Limits on Congress for example: Is that a good thing?
Also, what is MAGA?
He's going to pay for it out of America's pocket, attempt to get it from mexico (and fail), and then cut off all foreign aid to mexico to make it back, which will take

For reference, the age of the USA itself is about half (240yrs) that amount
Can someone explain the school choices part? I'm not sure I follow what it is meant to achieve/how.
Moves money raised by taxes meant for public schooling to private companies like charter schools.
