Interesting, what will the Republicans do with 4 years of total control...
Mid-term elections.
I wonder about the lgbt people that voted for Trump(yes they did) are feeling right now that they'll have their rights potentially stripped from them.
I know his VP is against LGBT rights but can you point out where they explicitly say they're going to be enacting changes to remove it? Not disagreeing with you I just want to look it up.
Mid-term elections.
Mid-term elections always favour the Republicans, because younger people can't be bothered to vote at them. Back in 2014, turnout was only 36%. [editline]10th November 2016[/editline]
I know his VP is against LGBT rights but can you point out where they explicitly say they're going to be enacting changes to remove it? Not disagreeing with you I just want to look it up.
Trump has talked about appointing conservative justices to the Supreme Court, and it has been speculated that the post-appointment Supreme Court would go back and overturn the ruling that legalised gay marriage. They would probably turn it back into a states' issue.
Not to mention the actual practical concerns of term limits. We'd be effectively removing some of our most experienced politicians from the political process. Is this good? I don't really know.
Very good, more often then not experienced politicians are corrupt politicians. [editline]10th November 2016[/editline]
I know his VP is against LGBT rights but can you point out where they explicitly say they're going to be enacting changes to remove it?
Very good, more often then not experienced politicians are corrupt politicians.
Correlation is not causation. It is very possible that 'fresh' politicians can be very corrupt. You know, because America just elected Trump, a fresh politician who won't release his tax returns and probably hasn't paid any federal income tax at all in the past few decades, who has advocated for violence at his rallies, who tried to undermine the entire democratic process by claiming the elections would be rigged, and has had a long history of being on the receiving end of lawsuits.

I can both logically and physically prove this if you want, but i assume its clear why this is. Also trumps reason is probably not corruption, just shameless abuse of the law of the land. Dont get me wrong he probably is corrupt as fuck but its not related... Also trump might be new to being a politician, but contrary to hillary narrative he is not new to high tier politics, he is experienced as a lobbyist and lobbyist financier. [editline]10th November 2016[/editline]
Because he is Did you get too much kool aid in your eyes to see it?
"because he is" is a bullshit reply, look at ecksdees post.
And just how, exactly, does he plan on making Mexico pay for that?
Maybe he'll go all mahatma "our words are backed by nuclear weapons" ghandi [editline]10th November 2016[/editline]
What does this mean?
Technically, it means following written laws (like the constitution) rather than having it be based of something ambiguous and arbitrary like a human person So on paper it's a good thing, it's the cornerstone of democracy. But what he means by that is probably enforcing the second amendment.
I wonder about the lgbt people that voted for Trump(yes they did) are feeling right now that they'll have their rights potentially stripped from them.
Considering they voted for him, I assume they're self-hating cowards who want their rights stripped for whatever reason. Either that or they're retarded and voted without understanding what they voted for Also what the fuck is "clean coal"? Now the planet's most definitely completely fucked and in the hands of an idiot who believes it's 6000 years old, good job I guess.
I'm confused. Aren't Trump's top generals supposed to plan the defeat of ISIS within the first 30 days? Why isn't ISIS on the agenda?
I hope those who voted trump are happy they're getting what they wanted.
I hope those who voted trump are happy they're getting what they wanted.
I would say yes... these idiots are exactly who the Trump supporters wanted.

Trump's been pictured holding LGBT flags up proudly as recently as a week ago. Yes I know he's taken a fuckton of anti-lgbt positions, but I want to hear him say it.
Call me cynical, but I wanna hear trump say that. Trump's been pictured holding LGBT flags up proudly as recently as a week ago. Yes I know he's taken a fuckton of anti-lgbt positions, but I want to hear him say it.
Yeah, he held the flag upside down.
Yeah, he held the flag upside down.
[t]https://lgbtqnation-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/assets/2016/10/donald-trump-flag-x750.jpg[/t] No, he didn't. If anything, the audience people who brought the flag wrote the stuff on it upside down.
[t]https://lgbtqnation-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/assets/2016/10/donald-trump-flag-x750.jpg[/t] No, he didn't. If anything, the audience people who brought the flag wrote the stuff on it upside down.
It's still upside down though, however. He probably should have turned it rightside up and ignored the righting.
It's still upside down though, however. He probably should have turned it rightside up and ignored the righting.
He'd probably look even more foolish if the "righting" was upside down...
It's still upside down though, however. He probably should have turned it rightside up and ignored the righting.
The media would have created a bigger backlash about him holding a piece of text upside down than a flag which is recognizable either way and not that many people know it's proper orientation.
It's still upside down though, however. He probably should have turned it rightside up and ignored the righting.
Then people would have said he didnt even read what he is holding up... Trump at this point wont be able to do anything right...
[t]https://lgbtqnation-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/assets/2016/10/donald-trump-flag-x750.jpg[/t]
branching off topic a notch I've loved everybody taking this picture as proof he's lgbt friendly to some extent. Like dude it's not that impossible any random schmuck could have walked that thing in and he's just holding it up for the photo op [t]http://www.thewrap.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Donald-Trump-rally.jpg[/t] and further it wouldn't be the most original conspiracy theory to say he or his people planned it for the brownie points. Wouldn't have been the most ham-fisted pander he'd have pulled [t]https://i2.wp.com/fusion.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Donald_J__Trump_on_Twitter___Happy__CincoDeMayo__The_best_taco_bowls_are_made_in_Trump_Tower_Grill__I_love_Hispanics__https___t_co_ufoTeQd8yA_https___t_co_k01Mc6CuDI_.jpg?resize=472%2C664&quality=80&strip=all[/t] alternatively, here's a woman at a trump rally posing with trump's son, who's all happy like it's a cool photo op to earn some brownie points with the Mexicans. Nobody could read Spanish enough to realized it said latina against trump; she was a protester. [t]http://nd.theclassifiedsplus.com/upload/news/image_1477245908_87131864.jpg[/t] [editline]e[/editline] day after the vote came in a friend was telling me her brother, who teaches in ohio, was witnessing some serious shit. Black kids were beating up latino kids because somehow the latino vote went to trump out there, all the while white kids saying the blacks 'shouldn't even be here'. Shit's been messed up and the violent reactions we're seeing isn't some result of ~democrats being as/more violent as republicans~ and whatnot, it's because unlike what would happen in a clinton win, many marginalized people are fucking terrified for their own lives because of the precedent of this guy validating the worst in racists/bigots/etc/etc and it's very deeply going to affect them in the coming years. It's not about losing an election, it's about what the election has and will continue to enable in further marginalizing and degrading them as human beings
I'm all for term limits for congress.
Term limits would be nice, for the supreme court, too. No more of this timing retirement until a president they like will replace them with someone they'd like
Honestly, Supreme Court Justices need term limits, and/or recurring Democratic elections rather than presidential appointments. Getting a stacked roster can fuck the country for decades.
Like how Hillary was going to stack the roster with liberal judges? Stacking the roster was even used as a reason TO vote Hillary. All of a sudden NOW it's a problem when it most likely won't be a liberal judge and actually balance the court when it comes to judges and opinions?
branching off topic a notch I've loved everybody taking this picture as proof he's lgbt friendly to some extent. Like dude it's not that impossible any random schmuck could have walked that thing in and he's just holding it up for the photo op
Its an anomaly, one that I want Trump to say himself is or is not accurate. I don't want a humanoid british currency piece to say it, I want the president himself to say it. And if he doesn't say it but continues to be confusing then he's simply proving how inept he really is. I have family members and friends everywhere that were terrified that if Clinton won then they'd: lose their house, be taxed into oblivion, get thrown into WWIII, some other form of doom. They were terrified about her winning because they didn't want the opinions of the equally terrible clinton supporters to be validated and then thrust at them in a "ha I told you so you racist/homophobe/shit human waste"
And it would require a consititutional amendment. Which makes it next to impossible.
depends, the SC said that states do not have the authority but nothing in the constitution says congress doesn't have the authority. Even if congress somehow passed term limits, they'd be struck down pretty much the first time anyone hits the limit [editline]10th November 2016[/editline]
Like how Hillary was going to stack the roster with liberal judges?
Changes won’t come immediately, but Vice President-elect Mike Pence is promising that some of the laws he believes are anti-Christian will be repealed as soon as possible. In a recent interview, Pence restated his commitment to abolishing birth control mandates and bathroom choice protection for Transgender people. Mike Pence has also been clear that he would like to defund Planned Parenthood, and overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark decision legalizing abortion, says LifeNews. Pence claims that along with Donald Trump, he will uphold the Hyde Amendment that prevents taxpayer dollars to be used for things that are “morally objectionable.”
[x] I mean Pence hasn't been shy about his stances on "worldly" laws.
i'm excited for 4 years of christian shariah law

I want four more years of Obamas Sharia law then four years of Trump Christian law
