Members of the military being allowed to protest? that's a bit unprofessional.
Members of the military being allowed to protest? that's a bit unprofessional.
Freedom of speech. For all. What is this, North Korea?
I'm sure they would too... South Korea has a few billion dollar Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense ships, along with any missile defense the US has... Remember we Jerry Rigged a regular ol' missile to shoot down a satellite in fucking space in just hours... and it worked (And by Hours I mean a couple days) And that was higher and traveling faster than any Nuke from North Korea will achieve I have faith in the technology, the problem is going to be whether the guys behind the trigger to shoot down a missile being fast enough to do it in time
Freedom of speech. For all. What is this, North Korea?
Well it seems strange to me too. They are in actual service, don't they have something more important to do and like, diffirent ways of speaking to gouvernment?
I'm sure they would too... There will be no way to counter it in that case. If NK is willing to nuke the South, they will.
Freedom of speech. For all. What is this, North Korea?
no, military serving personal protesting is a bad idea. In most democratic countries they are prohibited from doing so, their families and civilians can but they can't. I don't need to spell it out to you why.
Well it seems strange to me too. They are in actual service, don't they have something more important to do and like, diffirent ways of speaking to gouvernment?
I doubt they were on duty at the time. So they were perfectly capable of protesting that way. If they were on duty, then they're going to be in trouble. As for "different ways to speak to the government", the high up generals and high command of the military talks with the government (whom they are subordinate to). These servicemen are most likely lower ranks who don't interact with the civilian government and only communicate with their commanding officers. It's not like they're on the verge of a military coup. Calm down.

I'd be worried about their missiles, they have a track record of being 100% accurate of hitting their intended(?) targets. The ocean.

You can always write some lines in a report to your commanding officer and he will adress it where you want it to end up. Somewhere in the ocean.
Then they would be in bad shape being under fire from Russian Pacific fleet. Oh well, they still have nothing to loose anyway, I guess.
Don't generalize. A few out of a million is nothing.
To be honest, if someone didn't realize that my statement was a generalization, they probably don't have the brains to comprehend what the article is about anyways.

Sure the AEGIS for Ballistic Missiles is made to intercept before they re-enter the atmosphere, I don't see any reason they can't work before or later than that stage of a missile's flight, or why they wouldn't try... also, Unless the Warhead is actually detonated by its own system I don't think it willl go off, so you can damage it in flight enough that it won't work, and it can land in Granny's yard and not go off I think

This is a more direct, and very public, show of thoughts by members of their military. After all, 2 marines (I think it was 2) were killed in this barrage. That could of been one of them. And SK isn't doing anything about their deaths. I don't blame them for protesting like this and I'm very happy they're keeping it civil opposed to what usually happens with a disgruntled military in a capital city. But you don't see that many military dictatorships, do you? Just because they can, doesn't mean they will or even want to. A military coup in SK would make them no different than NK and they might as well just hand themselves over to Kim Jong Il.

They're making their country look like it's crying for war and all that shit. Wait and see how NK will point it's finger at them shouting 'you see, they want to destroy us!'. China's just waiting for it.
And this is the point of confirming it?
I understand your point, I just don't think it's as urgently dangerous as it seems to be.
I understand your point, I just don't think it's as urgently dangerous as it seems to be.
I don't see it as dangerous too, but... you know, I see it as something wrong. If you stand before evil (and NK is EVIL) you must hold yourself. Maybe I'm just too idealistic. God damn russian mentality.
They have to stay united against NK, yes. But, you can't sacrifice what makes you different from them - such as democracy and freedom of speech/protest.
Well, I have to agree on that.
Well i say during the drill, NK going to do something stupid like they always do. Then SK isn't going to do anything.
Well i say during the drill, NK going to do something stupid like they always do. Then SK isn't going to do anything.
Depends on what exactly NK is going to do.

I wouldn't be surprised if those crazy Norks try to land a torpedo on the USS George Washington.
When the war breaks out, Everybody dies. THAT is why you don't want that war.

Airburst nukes are altimeter linked or something; they reach a certain height on the downwards approach and boom.
Fucking hell, I'm afraid of Nuclear War. :ohdear:
I wanna move to Vegas. No bombs ever hit near that place. Yellow are fallout free zones.
