I think it's kind of funny that Argentina's claim is directly within the UK's claim.
Ain't more funny than a country located on the northern hemisphere claims sovereignity over a huge chunk of ice in the southern hemisphere? [editline]15th December 2014[/editline] I'm not trying to start a discussion here, I'm just trying to say that there's too much unnecesary hate on both parts. [editline]15th December 2014[/editline] Both the UK and Argentina
Ain't more funny than a country located on the northern hemisphere claims sovereignity over a huge chunk of ice in the southern hemisphere?
All the claims are stupid. Just, Argentinian claim being on top of UK claim is hilarious due to past history of Argentinian claims of UK stuff going... Less than stellar.
All the claims are stupid. Just, Argentinian claim being on top of UK claim is hilarious due to past history of Argentinian claims of UK stuff going... Less than stellar.
Of course. I am argentinian and I never supported the war. In fact, I think it is a stupid claim which could have been more than solved through diplomatic mediums. All that said, the war was initiated by one of the worst dictatorships on the history of south america; a group of generals who said "hey, we are losing people's support, what can we do? --let's start a war, make the people believe we are winning and keep in power a little longer!" The result being international hate, bad propaganda, huge debts and over 30.000 people dissapeared, tortured, killed. A large chunk of the world don't know this, and they condemn every single argentinian for it, when in fact, many here were victims of a sadistic dictatorship.
Fuck Skåne, give it to finland or something.
No no, we're fine. Really. You can keep it.
I think it's kind of funny that Argentina's claim is directly within the UK's claim.
But that claim is literally just south of the argentinian mainland. Also, that makes Norway the only country to have claims on both poles.
I don't like this at all. First the north pole, then our freedom.
I sure hope the ice won't be melting anytime soon. Edit: Sleepvalley warned us.
The ice melting is actually what all these people are all waiting for. The area is a potential goldmine of resources, new trading routes and all other kinds of benefits. Fuck me, we apparently spent 300 million USD on research and documentation to prove that the arctic seabed belongs to Greenland (and therefore Denmark), when the US or Russia will probably just go "lol, don' give a shit" anyway.
(Ocean floor only, ice DLC coming soon).
I suppose it's a limited time offer DLC, they're even worse.
It is rare that you get the opportunity to change its borders and make our country and national community larger.
Is there something he knows that I don't know?
No no, we're fine. Really. You can keep it.
Fuck Sweden, Finland and Denmark. Independence for Skåne! (not really though it would be funny to see Sweden starve.)
Yeah, good luck getting Canada, Russia, and the US to go along with this plan to hand over claims to a country a fraction of their individual sizes. Now, a shared split claim or something, that's different and more reasonable.
How about every nation gets a stake and we call it international waters!
Poor Skåne.
Everyone knows the arctic is Canada's

Our real enemy, as always, is Canada.
How about every nation gets a stake and we call it international waters!
Lets make it a competition. Send in teams from every country in and have a King of the Hill type war game, last nation standing wins the whole enchilada.
