The scientific answer to those questions is,
There's no evidence to suggest that matter(or energy to be specific) ever "came into existence". All we know is that it's impossible to create or destroy it, so it's quite likely that it has always existed.
Many possibilities exist, though it is an unknown. Perhaps it was a seemingly random quantum event? Possible given the size of the singularity.
Genesis quite clearly contradicts evolution in just about every way.
