You americans and your silly anti-sex pro-violence lifestyle never cease to entertain.
seriously can we please start banning dumb posts like this completely useless and i don't get how this is any better than just posting an image macro or spamming
I never have and never will understand why in modern society any form of sexual pleasure is so taboo. Also, have the ratings board seen this yet? They might want to keep a few ambulances on standby... [editline]29th November 2013[/editline] Ironically Shia Lebeouf is in that film too. Heh.
This is like some religious "Sex should be kept in the bedroom!" bullshit.
Meanwhile, in 1988, this movie was rated PG: The relevant scene starts at about 38 minutes in, in case it doesn't start in the right place NSFW
The film isn't even about pleasurable sex, i know for a fact its going to be very depressing.
You americans and your silly anti-sex pro-violence lifestyle never cease to entertain.
*germany* *mocks americans for being pro-violence*
*germany* *mocks americans for being pro-violence*
That doesn't make any sense.
That doesn't make any sense.
Germany(and Australia) are hardcore anti-violence in media. Essentially the opposite end of the spectrum to the US.
I think it's more of a matter that "a serious movie can't depict sex that looks real rather than romantic". It's always just missionary position. If it's blowjobs, it's in a comedy movie played for laughs. If it's doggystyle it's with a hooker or a one night stand. Every position but missionary is seen as obscene, only flat missionary sex without any legs in the air is seen as romantic.
You should see Brooklyn's Finest.
You know, that reminds me Gravity is rated PG-13 [sp]and has a clear shot of guy's head with huge hole in it. Plus few dead bodies, too.[/sp] It's true only scenes with such violence are these two examples and they don't play big role but I'm pretty sure so does the blowjob scene in this movie. And it's rated R like Elysium where [sp]you see 3 guys blow up into pieces, clear shot of face getting torn away by explosion and then see that face getting rebuilt[/sp] and none of those scenes got edited to show less or removed.
I want to see a movie where a man gets his head blown of while giving a woman oral sex.
It's called a 69....
Germany(and Australia) are hardcore anti-violence in media. Essentially the opposite end of the spectrum to the US.
I misinterpreted it as a jab for Germanys past involvement in WW2
It's a sign society is still anal about sex
:quagmire:
Yeah yeah yeah, it's silly that the scene got cut. But I really don't think that the omission of the scene will detract from the movie at all.
Movie ratings/video game/TV show ratings are a chock of shit anyways. It shouldn't just be the ridiculous antipiracy measures the MPAA should be burnt down for. [editline]30th November 2013[/editline] Basically, the MPAA = Hollywood's tumor
Huh, this film is giving me that 'Drive' vibe. I like it
yeah, i was really hyped for Only God Forgives to give me more of that feeling but seeing as that movie is shit, I guess this will do [editline]30th November 2013[/editline]
It's a sign society is still anal about sex, but still okay with murder and gore. People having their heads blown off by grenades: OK Two people conscenting to have sex: NO, NO, BAD!
Not really society as a whole, a large portion of eastern culture kind of flipflops that actually. Sex is generally less taboo than gratuitous violence over there, it's weird how different shit can be viewed.
Screw censoring one thing over the other, can't we have both sex and violence in equal amounts?
keep in mind that people in american society are still incredibly anal about violence in media, ala jack thompson. it's just that enough people openly enjoy videogames to publicly write him off as a loon, whereas you're obviously not going to find that viewpoint regarding sex because our society is awkward and stilted on the remnants of religious fundamentals.
there's still something incredibly amusing about america because you can have an enormous amount of violence shown on screen, yet god forbid you forget to bleep the words "fuck" and "shit" :v:
Yeah I've noticed that for awhile. People in the U.S. seem to be fine with movies, TV, etc. showing enormous amounts of violence, blood, gore, etc. (well with the exception of "soccer mom" organizations like "One Million Moms" and people like Jack Thompson going on about how violent media is turning kids into killing machines) but raise their metaphorial pitchforks and torches when movies, TV, etc. don't bleep words like "fuck" and "shit", show any sort of suggestive/sexual content (ex: subtle innuendo's, skimpy clothing, etc.). But the funny thing is in some places other places (ex: Some countries in Europe, Australia, etc.) it's completly flip-flopped: people are okay with suggestive/sexual content but get pissy when copious blood, gore, etc. is shown.
