No, just a shit PC imo.
Connection is fine, I can play most games easily without having to deal with lag.
Dude.
I have a 30/20Mbit connection and I get into a lot of servers with lagg if I don't chose one that is in my own country, and even then it can lagg in some of them.
The sliding is caused by lag, the reason you're magically placed different places is caused by lag.
You're lagging or the server is lagging, or both of you.

Lol, 30/20Mbit connection, okay there. Keep dreaming.
I was in a server with like 10 people, the lag wasn't really bad. It was okay. I wasn't sliding all over the place, I could actually kill people while aiming at them.
Lol I get dumbed because people have amazing computers that run this game like gazillion times better, yet they don't know how un-optimized it is for us lower gen of computers.
It gets about 40 FPS on my friend's notebook with a Core2Duo and a 8600. That's better than Grid, ARMA 2 and GTA IV.

You're almost as bad as the idiot who complained about GTA 4 not being made for the PS2.

You really should know what you're talking about before you run your mouth
I wished I had preordered this so I could join the bitchering. You all make it sound so fun.
Order now and still get beta.

You still can pre-order it and get access to the beta.
And there is some giveaway beta key site. Also some official sign-up page by the Dice guys where you can win a beta key.
Can't now to be honest, exams. Plus I kinda went AWOL when it came to details about this game. Does it support 64 players like the old ones did? Does it still have a commander? Is it still fun as BF2 and BF2142?

In my opinion it's even better.
I played the first BFBC on the 360 and while it was fun it was far from a battlefield experience. It had no medic class (this is changed now) and the destruction felt more like a gimmick than anything worthwhile, even though it was kinda cool how you started the match with your base all prettied up with all walls present and at the end you have something comparable to a block of swiss cheese. I didn't like the explosions though, all explosives were way too underpowered.

One thing I've noticed in BC2 is that destroying the environment can actually help you in some cases. For example, my squad was attacking a building to plant a charge, but the enemy was camping inside the building. We placed C4 on the building, blew a hole open and charged in, killing everyone. The environment seems built for destruction this time.
When me and a friend were camping the base in a tank as attackers we had to destroy a little forest to see the enemy's base. The destruction is a lot more than a gimmick.
And to answer Pacific's question nobody answered: No, it doesn't support 64 players, only 32 although it feels like there are far more players than in BF2.

I remember when a whole squad was in a building so I placed C4 around it and then brought the building down on top of them. It feels like heaps of players because you can spawn pretty much on anyone and its only about 8 second timer

Obviously I seem to know more than some of you, that this game isn't optimized well. Even in beta, I'm hoping they'll update it some more with graphical fixes and what not.

no, the best example is
place C4 on building full of campers, blow it up
person <Destruction 2.0> person
The great thing is that through a long battle, the entire field will be destroyed. Buildings destroyed, fences torn, walls crushed, barriers bombarded, trees cut down, and the ground will be completely pummeled with explosives and will have craters all over. The ground dynamically changes to that.
Friggin' finally.
