It seems pretty stupid to me, if the justice system is about rehabilitating criminals to be functional in society, shouldn't some one who's managed 70-odd years of normal life after a war be considered rehabilitated?

The justice system was specifically built for petty revenge. Rehabilitation has [I]never[/I] been a consideration with it. Some countries have adopted techniques to rehabilitate convicts, but I don't see it as becoming a major thing anytime soon.

Well I think he was the one after all that came up with the "Final Solution". On another note, it was really at the time a matter of either supporting Hitler or being marked as a traitor, so I don't think the German people had much of a choice anyway. Besides, it was easy for him to brainwash the Germans anyway, just look how fast he rebuilt the country after World War One.

Göering, WWI ace, chief of the Luftwaffe, close buddy of Hitler, and the reason why the other two branches didn't get along with the air force. The Kriegmarine couldn't finish their aircraft carriers because of Göering, and the Heer couldn't deliver the final blow to Dunkirk because of Göering. in revenge, the navy and the army began to grab supplies intended for the Air Force for themselves.

Nazi666, you should totally simmer down. I know it's not a incredibly convincing statement, me being German and all, but I believe people should let the past go and look towards the present. World War II was a long time ago, everyone remotely affiliated with it is in their 70s at least and it's only a matter of time until the entire generation dies out, then it just wouldn't make sense to bring them to justice because there's nothing more just than death, regardless of how they died. It's really pitiful that people call themselves "nazi hunters" and wail on old people to fortify their ego. They sound like those lip stick bounty hunter chicks who randomly assault "suspicious" people to look cool.

Justice was accomplished when we won WW2.
Honestly, both sides did some pretty fucked up things. I don't see you chastising the US for dropping nuclear fucking bombs.
Those things alone killed a couple hundred thousand people, most of them civilians. War is a fucked up thing, terrible shit happens. the Nazi's may have been the worst of the bunch. But they got what was coming to them a long long time ago. To hunt down the few dying remnants of a long dead organization is petty and stupid.
