So what happens when you're in the middle and you're at your stop, but those in front of you aren't getting off?
Made in China!
So what happens when you're in the middle and you're at your stop, but those in front of you aren't getting off?
What? The bus carries people, not cars.
ITT: not enough answers
wow, that is an awesome idea!
Fuck this idea, sounds fucking stupid.
what happens if you're driving underneath while it's turning?
what happens if you're driving underneath while it's turning?
you know in fallout 3, you shoot a a car and it explodes in nuclear bomb style, that is what happens.
There will be quite a bit of potential flaws with that design. For instance, as lots of people have mentioned already, turning will be quite risky and dangerous
they would need to separate areas with rubber or a latch of some sort, similar to trains, so it can turn. besides that it looks awesome.
I imagine it's supposed to be more of a straight line shuttle, for the very long and straight roads.
Fuck yes, do this. Get rid of regular annoying buses clogging up the roads.
There will be quite a bit of potential flaws with that design. I mean the top speed is only 60 km/h, which I assume it won't reach during its runs. And by the way, the guy explains the turning problem in the video, pretty stupid to assume that they haven't thought about it. Watch it, they also show what would happend during an accident.
I'd go to china just to ride that thing
Yeah China have very straight highways, not like other countries. And long as well!
THANK YOU CHINA for finding a way to get buses out of the fucking way
I was expecting some giant oppression mobile, but I was wrong This is genius, why has nobody though of this before?
Meh, any new vehicle that requires the infrastructure to be changed often end up being used in only a few areas. If it gets off the ground at all. What's so great about this design anyway? It looks like it has a great potential for disaster.
That is pretty awesome. I hope it ends up here also as I hate buses as they are. [editline]03:27PM[/editline]
What's so great about this design anyway?
It stops them being in the way of other drivers and it also means that the bus is more likely to get there on time as it can go over most traffic. If the buses are more efficient then they're probably hoping more people will use them instead of a car, which has an impact on traffic and the environment. It is actually a really good idea.

I mean construction already starting this year, that's determination.
Fuck yeah China
THANK YOU CHINA for finding a way to get buses out of the fucking way
There needs to be a way to get rigs out of the way of highway traffic also.
I think the best way to fix the turning problem would be to open up the sides like so. Also about the truck problems couldn't the thing just slow down ans stay behind them? I don't think they need to keep on going.
I think the best way to fix the turning problem would be to open up the sides like so, but I don't see how they will have tracks in the middle of the road just so it could turn.
Even more disaster potential. Why do they call it a bus anyway. It's on tracks.
Even more disaster potential. Why do they call it a bus anyway. It's on tracks.
How is it even more disaster potential?
How is it even more disaster potential?
It won't be as stable and people could collide with it if they're too slow.
a better idea: no asian bus drivers
I was expecting some stupid crazy design but this is quite clever but like people have pointed out there are a few flaws.
It seems like the train makes its turns when it's at a four way stop light, with no traffic moving. At one point in the video, it seems like the truck driver changed lanes when the bus told it to... maybe they've already started implanting chips in peoples' minds in China.
It won't be as stable and people could collide with it if they're too slow.
People already can collide with it if their too slow also it has 8 wheels 4 in the front 4 in the back.
