So they got to watch themselves explode, eh?
you didn't read the article.
The really sad part is that now Video game Grunts seem more intelligent than these blokes
Hahaha. Stupid techies thinking people can't learn shit.
Shiite fighters in Iraq used software programs such as SkyGrabber -- available for as little as $25.95 on the Internet -- to regularly capture drone video feeds, according to a person familiar with reports on the matter.
wow that must be shit
and yes i know what that actually means dammit
Wow, you figure the US military could encrypt their damn Predator feeds.
Well, they are led by George W. Bush.
Stupid Americans being stupid, what's new?
Stupid Americans being stupid, what's new?

Stupid euro-fags waveing around thinking they're king? Wait nope thats not new.
implying everyone who talks shit about america is from europe
Why the hell wouldn't you encrypt something like that?
Really? Surely they could have put a password on them or something :geno:
they can't afford it
*Facepalm* pirating is free
Wow. Friday night press releases. Fuck you, America. :bang: I have to go over there soon, why start hacking us now?
So what if they start seeing Drone-Video Feed, they get to watch themselves die now.
"You want that Predator outfitted with $3 million in high quality optics and computer aided remote control?"
"Yep"
"How about the $50 basic encryption kit?"
"Hell no! This is the taxpayer's money we're spending, be reasonable!"
I find it fucking hilarious how we paid 4 billion dollars A WEEK to warlords to keep the support of their militias but we didn't spend the money to ENCRYPT OUR GODDAMN DRONES
So what if they start seeing Drone-Video Feed, they get to watch themselves die now.
You do realize that means they can high tail it out of there BEFORE hand?
First Twitter is hacked, then these drones are hacked as well. What are they going to do next hack my brai--- ALL GLORY TO THE OSAMA

I didn't even know monkeys and shit farmers could hack things.
Haha. Damn their getting smart, we must act!
"Sir, we have a problem..."
"What's the problem?"
"The terrorist.... They made toolguns...."
"How's that even possible?!"
"They built them from cheap $25 dollar parts and used cave technology"
"Well what have they done so far....?"
"They downloaded a version of Wiremod, and hacked are drones with Expression 2"
"Those bastards..."
Boys.... They discovered the toolgun... If we see an increase of Men in Black we don't know shit got it?!
On Topic: I really don't see the point of the terrorist watching themselves get hunted down by Predators...
I didn't even know monkeys and shit farmers could hack things.
Well you calling them monkey and shit farmers pretty much proves why
I know all about war, I fought in it.
Before we can even use these drones we need to get a five killstreak.
But the insurgents respawn five seconds later anyway.
This isn't hacking, it would be if it was a secure channel, also when I saw the title I thought they got control of a drone, THAT would be bad, those things can carry missiles.
I'd laugh if they did get control of an armed one and blew up some shit. I don't care much for America or it's war.
Drone Hack 2010: Student Edition
They can't. The time it takes to encrypt it and decrypt it is important. If your drone is a second lagging behind on the video feed than that means you are one second behind to react to any danger. The live feed needs to be as instant as possible.
1000$ worth of machinery and a few weeks of programming and they could have had atleast some simple AES encryption up with less than half a second of slowdown.
Counter-UAV up, they're blind
