It's Apple's fault Nexus 6 has no fingerprint sensor, ex-CEO says

Fingerprint scanning is just the same thing but more convenient.
My Android lock sequence takes no more than half a second to enter. I can't imagine a fingerprint sensor being any faster, and it necessitates that you hold your phone in a specific manner to unlock it.
Perhaps avoids over-the-shoulder onlookers, but the chances of that specific person finding my phone should I ever lose it are pretty slim.
Cool tech, but nothing I'd consider a dealbreaker on a phone.
Since I switched over from an android phone, I literally have had the best experience. I can't even tell you how much I prefer the iphone now. Maybe there's some things I miss, but actually having a working phone 24/7 that launches apps instantaneously and replies to text messages as it should, doesn't reboot randomly and has pretty good battery life was reason enough for me to try out an iPhone, and it's been well worth it.
Like, I don't even get pissed at my phone anymore. It's like life without any hiccups.
Seriously, what phone were you using? That doesn't sound like a proper Android experience at all.

You don't need to hold it differently, and is a lot faster than entering any pin if it's done right like apple does

You don't need to hold it a specific way though. Just touch it with any of the fingers you've enrolled from any angle. You can basically both turn on and unlock the phone in a single press.
Who the fuck needs a finger print scanner on their phone anyway.
The fuck is so important on your phone that you need to hide?
Uhh, well the names, addresses and phone numbers of all my friends an family for starters, a bunch of photos, all the login details on the browser... Yeah.
I'd love a fingerprint scanner on my phone just to erase the need for locks or people catching onto my password. I have a fear of friends stumbling upon stuff or my partner spying through my shit.
My fear is that someone might touch the phone to my thumb while I'm sleeping and unlock it, so I don't like the idea in general

lol if someone is that desperate to get into your phone they'll find a way regardless. It's a lot easier for someone to shoulder surf and find out your passcode that way. A fingerprint sensor (and one that works as well as apple's touchID does) eliminates shoulder surfers and makes them have to go to such ridiculous lengths such as watching you sleep and using your body while you sleep.
What the hell did you do to your android if it crashed a ton and wouldnt work. Unless you got a megacheap phone.
A galaxy S3, right when it was released. I'm not saying it's horrible, it worked okay, but I could never get any apps to run well. I kept it stock for two years until the last months when battery life started to dwindle and I just decided to fuck around with it.
Snapchat was the worst. It crashed unexpectedly and the video function broke. I reinstalled it and video would still freeze a frame but record the audio. ESPN would never stream for me and eventually stopped working. A couple of times my text messages and pictures disappeared. Network stuff was a bitch, I lost data a couple of times though wifi and cellular.
I have an impression on my pants of where my phone was for three years of my life. I'll never forget that s3. It filmed me hotboxing a personal tent for thirty minutes with three friends. It was a hard choice getting the 5s. I wanted a galaxy s5 reaallly bad, but forwent it.
something was wrong with your phone then. I was an early adopter and have had 5 android phones so far and not a single one of them have had the problems you described.

my galaxy s5's battery outlasts my aunt's iphone 5s no problem too
