Meh, I don't see the point of a big phone unless you want a pocketable tablet or something to make notes or drawings on. If I wanted a big screen on a device I'd want to make the most of it, so I'd rather have a small phone and a large tablet seperate, or have something like the Asus PadFone

I am pretty happy with the size of the iPhone 5 right now. But damn whats the point of having a smartphone when you cant even put it in your pocket..

Imagine placing a phone call with only your Nexus-7. Make that a itty bitty bit smaller and you have the Note III. Also the Note series is popular among women with purses & whatnot. For everybody saying "phones these days are too big!" This is just ONE device series samsung have created called the "note" designed to be a phone/tablet there are still plenty of small sized phones out there
