What will you be fighting, ultra-nationalist space Russians?
Nazis.
Fighting the Chinese on the moon maybe?
Fighting the Chinese on the moon maybe?
They're fighting the man on the moon.

CoD: Halo 3
:gonk:
oh god no
I knew something like this would have come out of it. They could have thought up a better name that 'Call of Duty: Future Warfare'.
If they're gonna stick to the special forces storylines they should cut back to some of the early-mid 20th century operations like Borneo and Oman; I'd love to see a more minimalist cut down gutsyness

Advanced Warfare takes the price
Already been done
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfare
I remember when Call of Duty was franchise of WW2 games.
I remember when Call of Duty was franchise of WW2 games.
Really? Because I don't
Most Call of Duty players did also play the original games
and Medal of Honour
it's not like the brand sprung up out of nowhere
It's been 22 years so we are over it, so I can.
It's been 12 years since your birth, does that mean I can make fun of that?
I personally would stop playing the games if they began to focus around space warfare. That's pushing it to be honest.
My diagnosis: It will suck balls.
Even if they make an awesome setting, chances are it will be shit since infinity ward is gone.
Except CoD is nowhere near realistic. Perhaps they'll come up an explanation as to how you can recover from bullet wounds in a matter of seconds, it is the future after all.
It's a gameplay mechanic. If you want realism, you'd go play Insurgency and take bullets like a man.
And everyone knew how fun Insurgency was.
You must defend Space America from the evil, ideologically amorphous Space Russians even though the Second Cold War has ended decades ago.
Space.

Insurgency is the worst example of a realistic shooter. Project Reality and ArmA/OFP does it much, much better.

Either way, people don't play Call of Duty for the realism, they play it for the action.
And Insurgency was the only example I have played, so I had to go from experience.
This isn't news, and it was posted in the CoD Forum weeks ago.
maybe it'll be a shatnered horizon ripoff

*shattered
More like a killzone 2 ripoff
how the hell can you have a realistic warfare game in fucking space in the fucking future
Yeah, because modern warfare was all about realism.
Insurgency is the worst example of a realistic shooter. Project Reality and ArmA/OFP does it much, much better.
I've found realistic shooters to be a real bore, to much hiding and getting shot from nowhere.
It could be good if it were like this.

That reminds me. WH40K needs at least one FPS title that isn't from the 90's.

It was released in October 2003, not the 90s. :eng101:
It's still terrible but yeah.
the only reason im buying the new cod is to see what happens to makarov
I hope it pulls a challenger and explodes before it goes into orbit.
Physics like that would be a huge challenge for the devs, I dont think it will happen.
I'm gonna throw shit in the dark if I hear one 12 year old say ANYTHING about CoD being better than EVE now.

Actually, a Star Trek FPS would be pretty neat. Elite Force was good, so if Respawn Studios got their hands on the Star Trek IP, I think they could do some pretty good work on it.
I bet you every bit of money in the world it has something to do with North Korea or Germany (Iron Sky anyone?) trying to take over the world.
