That's actually really fortunate, seeing as I doubt there are many lawyers who really enjoy that part of the case. It's also usually what ends up causing a great deal of the delays in longer or more complicated cases, so these developments could help people get speedier trials. Getting to the real trial more quickly will also allow for trials to be more fair, as witnesses who are questioned won't have as long to have their memory decline, etc.

Well, technically no, but the brain is closer to being a graphics chip than a computer (Since a graphic chip executes a set of algorithms embedded into its hardware and is therefore able to do it fast, while a computer is slower since most operations rely on means of abstraction of abstractions of abstractions)
