This threads off to a nice start good for her for recognizing her identity. it obviously took a lot of courage given her background and age, and the job she's in being a mostly "masculine" role. I hope she doesn't face the same issues as MMA fighter Fallon Fox. She got a lot of bigotry thrown at her when she first came out.
a) Which one was the joke? b) what is poe's law
Are you Skynet?
wow rude
Not nearly as rude as your snide comments towards those that you obviously don't understand.
Are you Skynet?
The fuck does that even mean
-snip- [editline]10th August 2014[/editline]
The fuck does that even mean
He's acting like a blithering neckbeard, ignore him. He wants you to flame him.
How about we don't go into the he/her/it/they bullshit today eh? This is also the Same Frankellie Maloney who was called to resign as a UKIP candidate because he was openly against Homosexuality at the time. I find it just a little ironic that someone who is going through a sex change has a problem with Homosexuality. Is he going to leave his wife once he becomes a full fledged woman? That would make her gay, wouldn't it?
Hey, a T throwing LGB under the bus. That's new!
-snip- [editline]10th August 2014[/editline] He's acting like a blithering neckbeard, ignore him. He wants you to flame him.
Someone's already used that line, but it was a nice try.
The fuck does that even mean
it means you don't know the difference between banter and serious talk
In reference to her anti-homosexual views, 'overcompensating' doesn't absolve you of being a dick to everyone else, it just means that you're a hypocritical dick.
but it was already fine?? if you're born with a pair of testicles im pretty sure that makes you a man, you can't destroy what's been preprogrammed
haha i think it's funny that people who think like this still exist my only bit of advice is to go out and get an education, maybe take a couple classes on the human body and psychology because nothing else is going to undo that stupidness you were "preprogrammed with" heh
it means you don't know the difference between banter and serious talk
That's not fucking banter, you twat, it's an obvious snipe to get attention.
That's not fucking banter, you twat, it's an obvious snipe to get attention.
"wow rude" shit sniped i got him, how insulting [editline]d[/editline] maybe i should know better not to post in sh
eunuchs have been around for centuries.. just move on already. transgenders in countries like india have been accepted since the 1500s yet the planks of the modern western world are still confused shitless, despite the global effort to communicate info.
Brenda Reimer
I've read about that a year back or so. A horrifying example of forced gender reassignment, unethical practices and bad science. From this "study", I can't agree with any conclusion that is meant to be reflective of human sexuality in general. The science was just too shambolic.
There have been other studies, and yeah, they've come to the conclusion that gender is genuinely just unchangeable.
But I still believe it's changeable. And I don't think any respectable scientist would be willing to breach ethics to acquire knowledge on the matter. Which is a good thing. You could probably torture someone to identify as another gender, though the process would be unimaginably harrowing.
If you wanna dress like a woman then okay, but I don't see how mutilating your own body is acceptable.
To avoid stupid posts like this from popping up again... I make this post in every transgender thread that shows up. I feel that it helps. Firstly, the brains of transgender individuals match the brains of the gender they identify as. This isn't just in terms of structure, but also grey matter. A male-to-female will have the brain of a cisgender girl all her life. A female-to-male will have the brain of a cisgender male all his life. I am a girl. Transmen are boys. We just don't have the right body because life fucked us. This evidence brings up support that transgenderism is, in fact, physiological over psychological. We are like any other girl and boy out there except that we've suffered through a "birth defect" that trapped us in the wrong bodies. There's no evidence to support how this anomaly occurs since it's impossible to know whether or not a fetus will be trans. So far, the only hypothesis we have is that this occurs in the womb... obviously. We all start off as female in the womb and when the fetus is destined to be male there are two stages where the fetus is fed large doses of testosterone. One stage goes to the brain and the other goes to the body. It's said that the fetus only receives one of these two stages. A fetus that receives the body developmental testosterone and not the brain will develop a male body but a female brain. That's a male-to-female. A fetus that gets the brain developmental testosterone and and not the body will develop a male brain with a female body. That's an FtM. We're not dudes dressed as ladies or ladies dressed as dudes. We are human beings trapped in the wrong body and that is why we need the proper hormones and corrective surgery to match our bodies to our brains. We are wired incorrectly. We suffer because we have the wrong hormones pumping through are veins and our brains and it's psychologically damaging to us. We are not trying to throw people for a loop. We just want to be normal. So can this, "You're just a bunch of fags playing dress up," shit just stop already? I'm sick of it.
wow rude
can you respond to this?
If nature gave you a body with no tattoos (like all bodies), and a tattoo artist offered you one. What would you do? Is this acceptable in your eyes? If nature gave you no teeth, and a dentist offered you a fake set. What would you do? Is this acceptable in your eyes? If nature gave you no genitalia, and a surgeon said they could give you a set. What would you do? Is this acceptable in your eyes? If nature gave you one set of genitalia, and you didn't feel comfortable with them for a long period of time, and a surgeon offered you a different set. What would you do? Is this acceptable in your eyes?

You could probably torture someone to identify as another gender, though the process would be unimaginably harrowing.
So many children that don't know about transgenderism go through this every day, not to mention the unfathomable horror of going through the wrong puberty.
So many children that don't know about transgenderism go through this every day, not to mention the unfathomable horror of going through the wrong puberty.
Been there, experienced that.
In reference to her anti-homosexual views, 'overcompensating' doesn't absolve you of being a dick to everyone else, it just means that you're a hypocritical dick.
It's not even that they were a dick to everyone else, they're a politician that made a career of attacking gay people. That's so much worse than just being a hypocritical dick. Maloney doesn't really deserve any respect from the LGBT community.
I'm glad she's happy with her gender now. She may be sixty, but it's never too late to find happiness.
I'm glad he's happy with his gender now. He may be sixty, but it's never too late to find happiness.
If you're glad about her finding happiness, use the right pronouns for her.
"modifying your physique" is a euphemism more like destroying your body and pumping yourself full of chemicals so you can tell yourself you are what you aren't. i don't care that people do this to themselves, it's their lives and they can do what they want why the fuck would you want to destroy what nature's given you? i genuinely just don't undestand
appealing to nature 101
There is no opposite to any gender.
Okay. I guess you're considering male and female to be two arbitrary labels placed on a vast infinite spectrum of genders? I understand that. But trans people tend to identify as male or female no? Which means I should be permitted to using language that insinuates a polar nature. Male/female, black/white etc. But in the end... when I say opposing, I really mean, not the gender that they actually identify as. Yes claiming that you identify as one gender, when you actually identify as another is a peculiar thing to do. But I'm not suggesting that people do this, I thought that you were suggesting that people do this as a political statement.
You don't have to do much to be trans. All it takes is a declaration and some conviction.

If you claim to be trans, you are trans. If you claim to be a certain gender, you are that gender.
We have different ideas of what trans is. To me, to be trans, one needs to personally identify as a gender not matching their sex.
It's honestly kind of insulting that you would say claim like there are fake trans people.
I asked you a question: "Are you suggesting then, that some people claim X?" I'm not suggesting X is true.
If you're glad about her finding happiness, use the right pronouns for her.
The error is fixed, calm the fuck down.
but it was already fine?? if you're born with a pair of testicles im pretty sure that makes you a man, you can't destroy what's been preprogrammed
No, that makes you a Human male. Being a man is a social construct
The error is fixed, calm the fuck down.
I don't know about you but I didn't detect that much hostility in their post.
Okay. I guess you're considering male and female to be two arbitrary labels placed on a vast infinite spectrum of genders? I understand that. But trans people tend to identify as male or female no? Which means I should be permitted to using language that insinuates a polar nature. Male/female, black/white etc.
There are loads of people who have nonbinary gender identities. Such as agender or bigender people, etc.
But in the end... when I say opposing, I really mean, not the gender that they actually identify as. Yes claiming that you identify as one gender, when you actually identify as another is a peculiar thing to do. But I'm not suggesting that people do this, I thought that you were suggesting that people do this as a political statement.
No, you're the one assuming I mean they falsely label themselves as a gender they're not. That's not how being trans works - you are the gender you say you are, even for, or maybe especially for, cases of being transgender partially for political reasons.
We have different ideas of what trans is. To me, to be trans, one needs to personally identify as a gender not matching their sex.
Sexes are assigned gender unnecessarily. Therefore, the difference between a cis person and a trans person is that the cis person is assigned female or male at birth and is ok with that, but a trans person is assigned female or male at birth and identifies themself as non-cis. What I'm saying is that in reality, sexes do not have inherent gender. The idea of gender is prescribed to the sexes by centuries-old societal factors.
The error is fixed, calm the fuck down.
I didn't mean for my post to come off as an attack, so I'm sorry.

I'm don't hate trans people or anything just like I don't hate people who get a tattoo, but in both cases I think it is dumb decision. At least with a tattoo you can reverse it if you really need to.
I, personally, myself, someone who is not trans, do, personally, not see why these people, who are not me, cis person who does not experience body dysphoria, would decide to do something, that I, myself, Milkandcooki, would not do to myself.
