I live in the USA, but the thought of this existing makes me rage. I mean, come the fuck on.
That one chick could stay as long as she wants.
I love how they get off like a fast bird. If it was in America they would be arrested for breaking and entry plus trespassing and probably robbery or damage to property

Excuse me while I just make a smoke bomb in my car here to gas out those Italians.
Richard stop posting I want your house go to the supermarket or something
I guess I'll squat in my neighbor's home next time she goes to the supermarket, then.
I'll just use the same excuse and refer my neighbor to this thread.
They claim the fact they cannot afford to rent gives them the right to take over the Victorian property in Camberwell, South-East London.
Amazing logic.
cool fact: In the UK, you can be legally tried and sued for hurting a burglar. I'm not just talking about deadly force. If a burglar or rapist or just about anyone busts into your house, and you happen to give them a black eye while forcing them out, expect to be in a court room soon. As a defendant.
Claim appropriate force and you're set. I mean if while forcing him out you tie him and let him him hang around, kick him for a few days and do a couple of other nasty things, getting of with appropriate force might be having some problems of course.
Courts also tend to be understandable when you pursue more than is your due. For instance A man attacked a women, she panicked, they struggled, she then smacked him with a handbag that had a brick or something in it. The man collapsed and she continued to kick and bash him even after he was lieing in a fetal position completely no longer pursuing an attack. And she was fine even if more than appropriate force was used due to post attack stress.
And what is with everyone thinking the squatters get a free house and have more rights? They don't. The thing is, that this is a civil not criminal case. It would most likely be a criminal case if they were caught breaking in. I'm guessing it would be similar in the US as well. If the folks were holed up there, you'd first need an eviction notice as well.
Brb. Gonna go squat in the UK.
If this was NORTH America the cops would go in and arrest the squatters for breaking and entering.
If this was SOUTH America the police would never even go looking for the bodies

trespassing
Which is criminal, I'm pretty sure.

Nope, if you come home and find someone is living in your house, they'll get arrested for Breaking and Entering and Trespassing.

Fuck the sugar. Just throw highly concentrated nitric acid on their faces.
So, if I break into my neighbors house, and then say I can't pay rent. It's mine?
This is infuriating. Are there any laws against him busting down his own front door and physically throwing them out?

Too bad this isn't in America.
They'd be in jail for several years for this. :V
If this happened to me I'd be so fucking pissed I would try to scare them out of the house with an assassin or whatever.
Someone break into Buckingham palace and claim it as your own house
all the british FPers should do this
It's not because they are squatters, it is because they are Italians, thus assholes.
I'm tempted to go and smoke them out or something. Like actually.
That one chick could stay as long as she wants.
She looks like a fuckin horse.
This is the reason why you buy a shotgun, and then when squatters come along: instead of calling the police, you tell them to fuck off.
