http://geertwilders.nl/index.php/94-english/1999-pvv-congratulates-british-with-independence-day
Bruh, if Wilders becomes prime minister, a referendum on exiting the EU is just about the last thing on my mind.
how about we wait and see how britain turns out before we jump ship
This is straight ridiculus. Not only becouse it make no sense and destroy out countrt but becouse the five star is a joke. Just yesterday their leader Beppe Grillo said "You can't change Europo if youre not inside of it" criticizing the brexit referendum. And now this. A joke. Even my dad who's dumb as dirt know leaving is a bad idea.
Statement by Hollande, going live soon [hd]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZyh6nd3t1A[/hd]
This year will be an interesting year.
This year will be an interesting year.
Couple this with Donald winning the US elections (I have the strong feeling he'll win) this year, and this will turn out out to be quite an interesting year.
This exactly. I'm pro-leave, but now that Britain has done it first, I'm patient to see what happens there first, before we leave. I mean, it'd be silly to all just leave now, without seeing what kind of things we can expect.
why are you pro-leave? i buy airsoft stuff from poland sometimes and not having to pay out the ass for import costs is a godsend there's also a large amount of benefits it brings beside that, free travel is pretty nice

Sad, real sad that this is happening all over Europe. Sadly something like this may actually happen in Italy as well. Most of the pro-leave parties here exploit any situation and lie so they can appeal to everyone. Lega Nord and Movimento Cinque Stelle have a wide grasp on people.
OH SHIT, PEOPLE WANT INCREASED NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY!! PANIC PANIC PANIC CANNED FOOD WILL BE THE NEW GLOBAL CURRENCY. TECTONIC SHIFT AND COASTAL EROSION WILL GIVE EUROPE A VAGUELY SWASTIKA-LIKE SHAPE. GET USED TO EATING COLD SHIT, THAT'S ALL YOU'LL BE ABLE TO AFFORD. THERE WILL ONLY BE ONE NATIONAL ANTHEM ACROSS THE WORLD: THE FUNERAL MARCH. Like fuck. Simmer down, its yet another cultural-political shift. It happens every generation, and the world has chugged along on a gentle upwards rise regardless.

You guys will be alright, your economy is way stronger than you think.
there's a difference between never having been part of the eu and being part of the eu for so long that leaving it is basically like cutting off an arm and a leg. sure you can get prosthetics but they won't be as good as the original (deals)
Dude if Italy leaves the EU we'd go back to using the Lira. Life was so fucking cheap back then. One euro is 2000 lire, and until three decades ago you could get a coffee at a bar for just 50/100 lire. That's less than 5 cents in euros. [editline]24th June 2016[/editline] #MakeItaliaGreatAgain
the gbp plummeting to a value not seen since 1985 does not seem like "yet another cultural-political shift" this situation has very real ramifications to anyone living here
The GBP is going down in value, because this is a change and change brings uncertainty, something not good for investment. It doesn't help that you have people running around and yelling that the country is suddenly on fire.
the gbp plummeting to a value not seen since 1985 does not seem like "yet another cultural-political shift" this situation has very real ramifications to anyone living here
Mmhm. Brexit would only work if there was years of economic planning and changing put in place to make up for the deficit that's lost when leaving the EU before actually leaving...and that wasn't done. Here's hoping ya'll can pull a miracle out of your asses and make it work anyway. I'm all for a country retaining its sovereignty but the 2016 Brexit seems too hasty to me.

Denmark probably isn't going to have a referendum for a while, the leader of the most eurosceptic party currently in parliament just said that we should wait to see how the British deal ends up: http://www.dr.dk/nyheder/udland/brexit/thulesen-dahl-vil-vente-paa-endelig-britisk-aftale-foer-dansk-folkeafstemning Also, one of their EP guys were out just last night on national TV, saying that they definitely do not want to leave EU, they want to see it reform. So really, I don't think Denmark will leave the EU (as it stands) even if we got a referendum. I'm more concerned about the union breaking down because of other countries leaving, to be honest.
Iceland, Norway and Switzerland are doing just fine without the EU, what makes you think you won't "survive" on your own?
Bear in mind that these are all EEC countries, so they're not exactly on their own
shh let me dream
Dreams don't pay the bills.
This is bullshit; at least as far as Denmark is concerned. One political party is calling for a vote, with polls showing that about two thirds of the population does not feel a vote is needed.
When I think of stupid decisions that we can make, is going back 20 years ago Knowing this country we would leave immediately and get fucked Can someone give me citizenship to Finland?
Finland barely voted to join eu in the first place, and I've seen LOTS of anti-eu stuff for years now. Wouldn't be surprised if we left also #fixit

For those of you who don't know what it is, it's like a mini-EU on steroids. EDIT: To clarify; Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark has a "nordic treaty" that is really nice. To put it simply, nordic people has a citizenship in all the nordic countries more or less.
