Swine Flu 2: Monger Harder?
we are all going to die (for reals this time)
The Swine Flu is already treatable and there is also a vaccine for it, no reason to be scared.
i never got any vaccine, am i supposed to be scared?
I only had H1N1 for 4 days. It feels just like any other flu.
The reason why swine flu is so dangerous is because, unlike the normal flu, it hasn't been around very long, and is much more contagious.
Had it for a solid week and was bedridden the entire time over my Easter break. Fever of 104, hacking up gratuitous amounts of phlegm, coughing nearly nonstop, and the hurt... it puts such a strain on your brain and eyes - my dad thought I had Encephalitis.
I've never reacted so badly to a goddamn illness, but my immune system really cranked up since.
I pity anyone who gets it this time around. Shit sucks.
I had swine flu, but it went to bronchitis so it doesn't really matter.
Im invinsible.
come get me, swine flu.
[editline]4th January 2011[/editline]
... my old enemy, we meet again.
Back in 09 the media spun it so bad in my area I thought there was anarchy in the streets or something and for about a week I boarded up my windows and doors, stranded in the window with my rifle and my gasmask on looking around for threats.
shit, I thought it was gone for good.
Haven't you ever played pandemic 2?
The reason why swine flu is so dangerous is because, unlike the normal flu, it hasn't been around very long, and is much more contagious.
Had it, was sick for all of 5 days from onset, it sucked but wasn't any worse than regular flu.
Oh please, It's not bad, It's just the media that's exaggerating everything, Normal Flu's worse and kills more people.
Pft, it's not deadly to normal people by any means, it's just a milder version of a normal flu, except it's very contagious.
Come at me, flu. You missed the first time.
I wonder if the media will react the same way as last time, or completely ignore it.
ITT: people who don't understand how virus work.
Something that never really posed any threat returns? Oh dear!

Oh please, It's not bad, It's just the media that's exaggerating everything, Normal Flu's worse and kills more people.
It was pretty damn bad during the 1918 pandemic, but yeah last year and (unfortunately) this year it'll more than likely be blown out of proportion.
Nothing is going to happen.
Everyone is missing the point on why Swine Flu was a big deal. It's not that it was overtly more dangerous than the normal flu, but because it was unexpected. The scientists who formulate the vaccines, for the normal flu, know years in advance what the next strain will be. Then a new strain comes along and they are not prepared at all for it. In hindsight, it's easy to dismiss the effects that H1N1 had, but if it was something more dangerous, without a quick mass vaccination protecting more people by herd immunity, it could have been a lot worse.
They look at every current strain of flu, and estimate which one is more likely to attack. They never know exactly which strain it will be.
Swine Flu is just one of those strains that decided to be the main one out of nowhere, which is why the media somewhat blew it out of proportion. If it came back then either it mutated or those kids just weren't vaccinated against it.
Also, if they did get vaccinated, the H1N1 vaccine doesn't last for a lifetime. Their immunity to the virus probably weakened or they lost it.
Swine Flu is over-hyped, normal flu kills more in a month than Swine flu ever has.
It's all just the Media making a big fuss over it that makes it seem dangerous.
This.
The media are a worser disease then the swine flu.
Yeah but getting your balls chopped off and then Bengay rubbed in the wound via toothpicks is way worse, so I think I'm up for this.
No I didn't, shut the fuck up.
The reason why swine flu is so dangerous is because, unlike the normal flu, it hasn't been around very long, and is much more contagious.
your body will also react diffrently in everyone some may feel likeits just a FLu but some have never EVER EVER had anything that bad

same here
A few people got shot due to it...
could this be linked with all the dead birds falling from the sky?
...the swine flu never left
oh no two kids died from a somewhat new virus in a place with poor medical care IT MUST BE A NEW EPIDEMIC
I had it, it was like normal flu.
I got over it in 3 days.
