I figured that, but if you watch it you'll notice it'll go from Torsdag 15kl right to Fredag 16kl. Does the ash like....stand still meanwhile?
what? it's <day> <date> kl <hour>
im looking forward to getting some volanic ash in the next few hours :buddy:
Well it's nothing like this
It's Torstag 15 kl 17 right now in London, and it's certainly a lot cloudier. I can't see any volcanic ash, though - the only stuff falling is cherry blossom.
what? it's <day> <date> kl <hour>
Ohh, then i'm just dumb. I thought it was <day> <hour> kl <minutes>, would've been as fast as a jet but you never know.
what? it's <day> <date> kl <hour>
OH Now it makes sense haha.
Scandinavia if fucking covered, looks like middle europe got the thickest shit though. Uk is geting away easy.
We'll get a shitload tomorrow apparantely. The clouds are thick as shit currently anyway.
I just found an interesting screenshot of a radar screen on another forum (IVAO). http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/8783/1004151350z.png
Reynir Bödvarsson, volcano expert tells Aftonbladet that the outbreak can end within a few days, months or even years. The last time this volcano had an outbreak, it was for an entire year. From december 1821 to januari 1823. [editline]04:29PM[/editline]
I just found an interesting screenshot of a radar screen on another forum (IVAO). [editline]04:29PM[/editline] i have no idea what i'm looking at
Hohohohoooo shit. If it lasts years, And this shit gets irradiated/contaminated with bacteria somehow. We're gonna lose half of europe.
Hohohohoooo shit. If it lasts years, And this shit gets irradiated/contaminated with bacteria somehow. We're gonna lose half of europe.
Yeah because someone will fly planes into the clouds and drop radioactive dust, oh wait their engines would break.
Swedish airspace closed as well now sause (swedish) EDIT: Swedish airspace closes at 18:00, only some airports closed right now
i have no idea what i'm looking at
That's basically the airtraffic above Europe. The faint blue lines are borders, the boxes with the thick pointers are aircraft with their respective direction. Text next to them is Flight number Reg number, type Flight level (altitude), speed Airline Probably from an SBS-1. Radars for home use you can buy if you have shitloads of money.
Hohohohoooo shit. If it lasts years, And this shit gets irradiated/contaminated with bacteria somehow. We're gonna lose half of europe.
The ash contains fluoride and sulfur. The islanders are suggested to keep their animal insides, but other countries should not have to be worried. The problem is not health. Most of the ash is really high up in the atmosphere. Most of it will stay on high altitude. There should not be any problems on the ground.
Hohohohoooo shit. If it lasts years, And this shit gets irradiated/contaminated with bacteria somehow. We're gonna lose half of europe.
How would this get irradiated or contaminated? That doesn't make sense.
Every airport in Sweden is shutting down aswell. In 1982, a jumbo jet from British Airways flew through an ash cloud, all four engines died.
They restarted when they exited the cloud though.
My girlfriend has been in Florida for three weeks, she better be able to get back on Tuesday :(
And FYI, this is a very little amount of ash. Here in Denmark it's not going to be visible at all. Mah automerge.
I just heard on the news that all air travel from Holland Germany and Belgium will be suspended.
So tomorrow it'll 'hit' Holland? Has anyone really noticed anything of it except for airports closing in surrounding countries? Any Icelandic people maybe?
I'm in Manchester and I see no Ash.
So tomorrow it'll 'hit' Holland? Has anyone really noticed anything of it except for airports closing in surrounding countries? Any Icelandic people maybe?
It is supposed to hit around 6PM in holland.
