Carter was a horrible president and a coward.
He's a coward? Let me guess, you're right wing?
Wasn't Carter one of the worst presidents EVER?
More like the best.
A hostage crisis shouldn't take 444 days to end.
Could you possibly imagine that, maybe, a hostage crisis is sort of a complicated situation? And it took a while, but it ended in a non-violent resolution. Would you rather he send the army in and get people (possibly even the hostages) killed?
Really, you can't credit Carter to doing much more than shooting the piss with dictators and signing away the canal during his presidency.
Well unless you're proposing that he invade them there's not really much else to do. At least he didn't actively support violent organizations like the Contras and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps like Ronald Reagan did.
The only good thing he did was help Israel and Egypt come to peace.
That's a pretty big thing, don't you think? I mean, you don't have any basis on which to criticize carter. You list all these things that he did wrong, but without actually offering any solutions of your own. He tried a military operation, but it failed due to a sandstorm.
A hostage crisis shouldn't take 444 days to end.
How would you have liked to seen it end? All hostages were released. Any other solution would have resulted in a loss of hostages' life.
