I counted about 14 quakes that were >5 within this past week alone.
:colbert:
Suddenly swimming hundreds of gallons of water gets swished out of swimming pools and floods LA!
More at 10 :foxnews:
I'm in southwestern Arizona, it knocked over the entertainment center in my room and broke my Dreamcast. God damn earthquake.
I didn't feel shit even though I live in Huntington Beach. I guess I was just paying too much attention to Just Cause 2 to notice :v:

Did you have your entertainment system precariously placed on a ledge 1 Inch across?
I mean fuck.
True, but this was pretty scary seeing as how it's in California. And I thought the quake was going to get a bit worse for a second there.
Umm, it's California we're at one of the most active geological points on the planet it's not fucking scary or unexpected it's expected and obvious to occur.
My friend in phoenix felt it.
My friend in phoenix felt it.
I live on a fault line in California and didn't feel shit, he's a liar.

Whoah man, that was some heavy shit right there. The water ALMOST went over the edge.
Did you have your entertainment system precariously placed on a ledge 1 Inch across?

No, but I live in a 20 year old elevated doublewide trailer with failing supports, so the whole house was shaking. The entertainment center was the only thing that actually fell though. It wasn't really weighed down.
You guys are stupid, it's normal. Everyones jumping at every slight tremor like its an issue, quakes happen every day.
Whoah it's 7.1 now this is serious guys.

I felt it, was actually fun rather than scary. Turned my leather seat into a massage chair temporarily.
Not good. It's as if the Chile quake off-set the entire Northwest areas faults or something....
Thing is, The Washington State, the west coast, prepared?

That's the thing though. Because of the Chile quake, activity all along the eastern area from Chile has increased dramatically, and from what I can tell, at a rate that has never been seen before. It's as if the Chile quake upset the entire Eastern fault areas, and is a rippling, domino affect that'll stretch from Chile all along the west coast, and perhaps even further.

if you, and the many other paranoid people saying that it's all related, you're wrong.
scientists have been saying for ages now, since all the quakes following the haiti quake, that it's all unrelated and that these sort of earthquakes happen all the time. also, since the haiti quake, people including the media are paying more attention to earthquakes.
you're just paranoid

Nothing is going to happen, as everyone in the world is already dead from swine flu, bird flu, SARS, and Y2K.
Though things seem a bit active this year. Nothing to shit yourselves over though.

You're lucky you didn't get rated dumb by people with no sense of humour.
That's actually pretty good news because it lessens the chance of a big 8 to 10 motherfucker building up. The area was overdue.
Damn look at all those aftershockes
Sucks to be sky-diving in that time.
Or taking helicopter-lessons.
It felt like I was standing on Jello here in LA.
